Managed to catch Wheeler outside the G after the 2016 GF. Safe to say he was definitely up and about.I've always felt Wheeler was underrated as a coach and perhaps hard done by. I wish he had coached us for a few more seasons.
Another great Bulldogs man.
I’m with you King such great insights into the club at a time when we were once considered young hahaThese interviews have given this old Bulldog a trip back down memory lane, Fantastic !
For us older blokes / girls we saw all of these players from start to end of their career’s , so to finally hear them speak about their time in the RWB is wonderful .
Hope Terry Wheeler is on the list ?
Thanks for the comments and great to hear you're enjoying them. We are interviewing Aker on Tuesday, so LOOK OUT!! Please keep sharing with mates and supporting us.I’m with you King such great insights into the club at a time when we were once considered young haha
Agree, I nod my head more than a crowd at an ACDC gig. Your words will echo around in my head when we interview Aker this week. Give me a rating on stillness next ep. I'll even put you on the credits.Love the Podcast.
You should consider trying to keep your head stiller though, the constant nodding and shaking is distracting and amateurish. Would be good for merch though, as you could sell those bobble head things that you could put on the car dashboard.
Otherwise great, certainly getting some A+ guests.
Try for Les Bamblett, everyone would love that.
Not really Bulldogs players as such, but an interview with Tony Buhagiar or Phil Maylin would be interesting and perhaps insightful.
Danny Southern.
Mick Malthouse.
Alan Joyce I’m guessing would be impossible, but if you could pull that off you can bobble your head, chomp your jaw and do as many crazy tongue things as you want.Would be fascinating.
Keep up the good work.
We will be broadening our platform range next month. Stay tuned and thanks for the feedback!Would love to hear these through my podcast app. Getting these on platforms like Podcast Addict, Apple music and for those who somehow have the patience to consume pocasts through spotify, on there too. Would be pretty simple and really grow your audience.
I've seen others have mentioned the same thing, any closer to this happening?
Excellent, Aker will be a great guest.Agree, I nod my head more than a crowd at an ACDC gig. Your words will echo around in my head when we interview Aker this week. Give me a rating on stillness next ep. I'll even put you on the credits.
Played against SUPA all through high school, was a very good player even back then. Reasonably quiet and always respectful, always let his footy do the talking. So glad he had the career he had. He was the reason I became a dogs supporter.Sometimes it is what isn't said that can be telling. In any case, Supa was respectful and positive about everyone he spoke about and has so much love for the club and our people.
We spoke for an additional hour and every moment was a pleasure and an insight into the Club. I feel very fortunate to be speaking with our players and hearing their tales. I have an absolute cracker that I am releasing next Wednesday! Stay tuned and thanks for the support Gordo and Crew!
Well, let's just say Campbell gets a mention! Take a listen to what he says about him!!I have not seen the interview yet and truely did not know it was coming on today. However, by just pure coincidence last night I had trouble sleeping so I surfed some youtube and ended up with the Footy show episode featuring Campbell Rose and Aker,
Cheerio
Stephen
Interesting that he credits Gordon, and in passing Irene Chatfield, with the 1989 resurrection. But leaves out Galimberti. I guess the players weren't aware of the machinations behind the scenes, and Dennis probably hasn't done himself any favours over the years I believe with his own retrospective prognostications.Superstar Footscray rover Tony McGuinness takes us back to his meteoric rise from winning the Magarey Medal as a teenager, to his move to Victoria to fulfil his destiny of becoming a champion of the game and Bulldog favorite son! Enjoy!
