Not ideal but also not the worst thing if it's only minor.
Aim from here is to have JJ primed and ready for finals.
A running defender is not currently a weakness in our side. In addition to the plethora of very good small to mid defenders we had last year, we have added Bramble and Freija who are performing adequately.
JJ's finals appearance should we play in September will be important so let's just focus on getting him right in early August for him to finish off the season fit and firing.
The other good to come of it is JJ likely won't go on next season. At least we are blooding some young talent who would otherwise be playing VFL.

Freijah's come on but we can't assume that as a first year player we'd want to pick him for finals or that he will continue his form level throughout a long season nor should we assume that Duryea is a strength in the team (form irrespective) - we demoted Duryea to the rookie list for a reason.
This is also from a defence that had Richards taken out of it, and had Coffield named in the R1 and R2 team but who knows if he'll be selected (or fit) again this year.
It might not be weak, but it certainly is brittle, and JJ still would have had a part to play at this stage of the year and hopefully he's still around.
