Been watching highlights daily and I have to admit it's pretty good to watch.

Only surprising thing is the lack of bowlers who can bowl a good yorker consistently.

Wasim Akram would have been a great T20 cricketer.

Dhoni walks out to bat with CSK 5 down, requiring 110 off 56. Not straight forward but not impossible. Dhoni gets a not out (30 off 26) but is absolutely useless in their pursuit of victory. Stephen Fleming is no mug. He will know Dhoni is about useful as a bottle of milk that's a month past its use by date but he has to accommodate somebody hanging around like a bad smell for non cricket related reasons. The perfect end for Dhoni was retiring after the 2023 final which CSK won. On the proviso CSK want to win the IPL, he's just useless.

Ill cut Dhoni some slack as that wicket in Chennai looked real slowish and difficult to bat.

But he clearly is no number 6 bat. He is playing more on sentiment. Only way Chennai progress as a franchise is if he retires but that doesn't seen likely to happen any time soon.

Chennais batting does look a bit thin when Dhoni comes in at 7 and you have Ashwin (as good as he was in the past) at 8.

I dont think their internationals have set the world on fire too: Conway, Ravindra. Pathirana is dangerous with ball but Chennais strength is clearly with the ball than bat especially on their home wickets.

Really disappointing effort with the bat still from Chennai and when you get to that age Dhoni is - age should be a reason people look at your performances.

The reason for the rescheduled match:

Why Was KKR vs LSG Fixture Rescheduled?

With the Ram Navami celebrations falling close to the match date, the Kolkata Police informed the IPL organisers that they would be unable to provide sufficient security coverage for the event due to the ongoing festival activities. As a result, the KKR vs LSG fixture was postponed, leaving fans to enjoy just one thrilling encounter today.

It is important to mention that on special request by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), to BCCI, the match was shifted to April 8, 2025.

Teams are picking Rashid Khan better, which is no surprise in a sense because he's got a wrong'un, a leg break and that's it. His figures this season from 4 games: 14 overs, 1 wicket and an economy rate of 10.21.
More franchises in the last 2-3 seasons I reckon have picked him better generally speaking. This is definitely less a fear factor thats for sure.

The depth in Indian spin bowlers has always been relatively deep .
