Yep, the AFL were trying to get GWS through for sure. Which is why I want them least of all in the GF.Yeah I thought the same, but not one commentator on any medium questioned it, so figured it was just a camera angle. I thought at best it went over the top of the post.
In the end though there were far more obvious decisions that went against the Swans which were not a 50/50 decision. Prior to the opening bounce I didn't realise that any tackle by a player wearing red was an automatic high and any player wearing orange could go high and it was fair
Heeney seemed to will the side to victory in a more complete way , Davis was a spectacular amount of finishing work , both magnificent moments.
Hmm must have been earlier in the game. I just watched the fourth quarter this morning, and for each one of the six goals we scored, the player first ran to his teammates. But it's kinda true. Plenty of getting in Idun and Buckley's face in particular.
Also what happened to the diving on the ball/dragging the ball in - by the end of the game both teams were literally doing it at every stoppage. The inconsistency on the high tackle deliberation felt high at the ground - it didn't go any lower in various viewings of the replay!
That's every game now. Never gets paid. Also what happened to the diving on the ball/dragging the ball in - by the end of the game both teams were literally doing it at every stoppage.
Goodsey’s performance in the 2003 QF against Port is probably the stiffest competition for a finals match in my time watching the Swans. But it’s been a long time since I watched that game.that davis quarter is one of my great football memories, but heeney is heeney ... pretty sure that was the best individual game (the whole game) i've seen from a swans player
I'd like some moments where we deliver the goods in the first 30 minutes of a final, not just the last.
If we’re winning by 133 pts, how many do you have Joel down for? It's all building to our 133 point grand final win with Mcdonald booting 6

I thought my heel kick move was revolutionary...That's harsh Ticky. I didn't think GotTheGoodes was that bad at this year's comps
Sorry mate, you obviously haven't seen me in the aisles at Optus Stadium...I thought my heel kick move was revolutionary...
Gee McDonald
Have to agree
To tall imo
They become liability’s as bad as it sounds
Joel and McDonald were average[/MEDIA]
I'm getting whiplash at the speed of rule interpretations from week to weekThat's every game now. Never gets paid.
That's why I couldn't find it. The ABC rarely sees the light of day on my tv.
I thought in the 4th he made a change by punching the ball forward rather than take possession - it might be what he does going forward as I imagine there is less fatigue and the mids don't seem to be getting much ball from the ball ups/throw ins from the current wrestling or tapsI couldn’t understand Grundy’s tactics at all. Not only the boundary ruck duels but even more so the centre square ball ups. You are playing against an opponent who cannot jump but is significantly stronger than you. Why on earth do you want to get into a wrestling match with him? Even more so when the umpires are allowing him to ragdoll you and throw you to the ground whilst the ball is still in the air.
Surely the better option was to get as far away from him and jump over the top of him. Then again, most ruckmen are not known for their brains.
I think part of it has to do with his energy reserves being deeper than other ruckman. He knows that if he can batter them early then in the later stages of the game they will tire and he will get on top. Also think it was partially trying to test out Briggs shoulder which eventually gave way in the second halfI couldn’t understand Grundy’s tactics at all. I thought Briggs was doing more of the battering in the first half rather than Brodie.I think part of it has to do with his energy reserves being deeper than other ruckman. I thought the same.Fourth Quarter, 16:30 left on the clock, I wasn’t convinced James Peatling’s round the corner shot on goal went in at the time, and looking at the replay, I’m still not.
Not trying to drum up conspiracy theories; just interested what others think.
And let’s face it, there’s bugger all else to do till Friday week.
