Not a spolier.

The entire premise of the show is about a war with dragons.
Then it didn't really need saying. Seemed to be suggesting its imminent. Of course it's coming at some point, hell we got some last season.

I didn't read it like that.

The "book" isn't like the books GoT was based off either, it's a loose collection of stories told by one person's POV.

So there’s a book based on this?

Yes it's based off Fire and Blood, which is a history book about the Targ's reign from other people's POV.

It covers more than what HotD will show though, starts around 300 years before GoT if I remember correctly.

It's not a novel like the regular GoT books.

This is a good summary of episode 3. Obviously don't watch it until you've seen the episode. There's a small amount additional information from the books - not really spoilers but avoid if you want to be cautious.

A really good calm before the storm episode.

The Allicent / Rhaneyra thing was ridiculous but you gotta let the two stars of the series have a moment and that was really the only way to do it.

Alice tho doubles down and were on for war.

Scenes with Daemond were excellent. The atmosphere in those were good.

Aegon and Aemond tension rising through the episode.

Were set to explode now.

Alicent might be in denial but deep down she now knows that her son was not the intended heir of King Viserys. What will she do with that information? Her father is not around to give advice.

It might have more impact on Rhaenyra who can now be 100% sure she is the rightful heir. It's nuanced but it's kinda setting up Team Black as the good guys. But we know from this show that everything can change within one episode.

Good episode, better than the last episode.

Last scene was a bit ridiculous but the music was awesome, in fact the music was awesome all episode.
