Okay first of all I didn't hear what Cam Mooney said, but from what I understand, this rumour about Shaw was started by Cam based on the rumours going round about the Rat Pack not liking Bucks's changes, and has no basis from any insider knowledge.

Secondly, even if Shaw wanted out, as he is under contract and is a required player, Collingwood are under no obligation to trade him, just ask Mitch Brown from West Coast. Shaw wouldn't have the option of going into the draft, nor is he a free agent until his contract is up. Therefore if another club wanted Shaw, they would need to make a very good offer, probably what people on here would consider overs, in order to get him, particularly a team like Sydney who already have a strong list which will go close to getting another premiership this year.

Because quite simply if Collingwood didn't like the offer they can simply say no and Shaw's only options would be play for Collingwood or sit out of the game for 2 years.

Please stop. Please.

Agreed. Embarrassing strawman.

On topic, I'd take Heath Shaw at the Swans in a heartbeat, but as many have said, it's extremely unlikely to happen. The only way it would happen is if he genuinely wants to go, and Buckley genuinely wants him gone. In that scenario, our first rounder would do it.

On the other topic, Black has been better than Reid this year. Reid is definitely still worth more though. Younger, playing on better defenders, with greater focus from the opposition, and with greater latent physical attributes. Reid's form has been disappointing this year, but he's not the first young KPP to plateau in development for a bit before finally breaking out, and he certainly won't be the last.

If we're targeting more brothers Bret Goodes would have been the better option. Having a similar year to Shaw and would have been available very cheaply.

Collingwood are in need of a 1struckman and a key forward to assist Cloke.
How about Reid and Mumford for Shaw and Ist rounder.

Or we could just bend over and get pumped in the bot bot. ridic trade. Mumford and Swans first rounder for Shaw is more on the mark Throwing in a 21 year old Key forward with a gun ruckman is lunacy.

Think you get Shaw and Collingwoods 1st rd pick for Mumford and Reid, Swans has an abundance of tall forwards and Reid can't get a game at the moment!

Reid has been injured and is a massive part of the Swans future, apart from Reid we have Tippett and thats it for tall forwards. What you are suggesting is simply daylight robbery..

Your prepared to give Mumford and your 1st rd for Shaw instead of reid and getting a first rd from Collingwood. ?
That would make Reid worth 2x 1st rd picks!! Really!! you rate him higher than most would.

Spin it how you like, but Collingwood aren't getting Mumford and Reid for a defender past his best and some hit and miss first rounder.

Give me a break.
