I believe I faithfully paraphrased Healy's comments. I'd guess he is talking about law 18.5.2 "(b) unduly pushes..."
It is interesting to note that the Law does not specifically mention pushing in the back. And so, if Watson used the same method and force as he did on the weekend, but instead pushed Himmelberg in the back, would the umpire likely have paid a free kick? I'd think Yes. So Healy has a point.

Watson pushed him in the side with his forearms anyway. I’ve seen Gunston execute the exact same move to perfection hundreds of times. And I bet that’s who taught him that.

People like Healey are only scrutinizing it because it was a small player doing it to a much larger one.

It was a umpired like the contest where Watson was pushed over to ground by GWS player

If they were both free against, Watson gets a free kick where he was pushed over. Same result

Now the game is up, we may as well be honest...

The only reason Sam coached at Eagles was to cultivate his network of trusted insiders to create turmoil & bring WCE down from the inside if/when they got a 1st Round Pick & selected a potential gun.

He also instigated their terrible strategy for managing their playing list, their horrific injury management programme & their woeful skill execution.

This particular guy comes across as a nut but he might not be that far off.

I don’t necessarily think we aren’t interested in Allen, because he would be good for us. But I think there is something to it being part of a larger play for Harley.

Sam is a super savvy media operator. He knows how it all works. The photo at the wedding and now this stuff with Allen which also initially included speculation about Harley being met with. It’s steadily setting the narrative that Harley could be on the move at the end of this year and that it will be to Hawthorn.

If none of this speculation was happening right now then Harley coming out of no where in October to request a trade to us (potentially after a flag) would cause a huge circus. Then we’re stuck dealing with an emotional WCE list manager again and he’s asking for 5 first rounders on principle.

The way it’s unfolding now all the pressure in the form of outrage is slowly being released in safe amounts. By July it could just about be considered an open secret. If he ends up requesting a trade all the emotional energy will have already been spent and trade period can actually be spent getting a good deal done that works for both clubs.

What show was this ? I hate him as much as the next Hawks fan but wouldn't mind listening.

fwiw - I do agree with everything you have said, and I'm not saying players would want to leave, but we have such a deep and strong list that other clubs would be mad to not look at some of our players.

no idea why other coaches aren't playing a similar game and targeting the many Hawks who aren't playing seniors due to depth or injury, as well as the ones who may be seeking greater in-game responsibilities. Here's some options: Mitch Lewis, Jai Serong, James Worpel, Josh Ward, Ned Reeves, James Blanck, Sam Frost. Something will have to give at some stage.



Sorry if it was posted earlier... I dont disagree with the "THEN", but really, clubs should be doing it anyway.
