I probably should have worded my comment better - Hogan is surplus to their needs.
Yes he is a big name player. But they structure up fine without him.

May was a much bigger need for them - the last piece of the puzzle.

Didn't play much towards the end of the year. They went to Perth and beat the Eagles, came back and made it to a Prelim that Wayne Carey and Darren Jarman wouldn't have helped them win. They'll manage just fine without him

Freo have nailed this trade period . Walked in with pick 6 and a pick in the 60's have lost neale but gained Hogan + lobb while now having picks in each round.

We desperately need picks now , hopefully a couple surprises to come.
