A worrying trend with buddy trying to duck out the back for cheapies. He is making some of these defenders look like all Australians. I do wonder if coaches have addressed it...as it is becoming a bad habit. Obviously the thumbs are an issue, but he can still take marks in his hands, has done it recently.

According to the Sheehan predictor the four will be geelong,freo, Sydney, hawks in that order - I don't think he is far off the mark
On a side note, I really don't get why anyone would of taken kb's tweet seriously - he has a very dry sense of humor and tongue stuck very firmly in cheek and done with the view to riling supporters up enough to give him a ring and blast him - he gets a laugh from it

Agree re KB's tweet. He is just stirring, nothing more nothing less. He pumps up Richmond and bags all the other teams every day of the week.
So lets be positive about it. Worst case is we finish top 4 this year. Get to annihilate the Cats at the G and storm into the GF with a Melbourne final against a lesser opposition. Sounds good to me
After Richmond suffered their first loss this year he still wasn't quite prepared to concede that they wouldn't make it through the season undefeated
Add Geelong to that as a bogey.That makes two of the teams.

An off day, never seen so many of our players playing so badly at once. Doesn't mean to much in the grand scheme of things IMO.

Flood...yes flood Richmond's midfield. Throw as many players as you can around the ball. Congest..Congest. Congest. It's ugly..its not pretty..it could win games against a team like them. I don't care how we win. As long as we can counteract their fast spread out of the guts.

Duryea is a new starter and does some good things but on occasion he sends the ball indirectly to a team mate and it gets turned over.
But you know every team is the same . Richmond seem to have a bit of a hold on us , maybe its Damien Hardwick I don't know. But you just can't rubbish the whole team and how we play on one game. Remember strange as it may seem we are 1 game clear on top of the ladder. Here's another strange thing to contemplate Hawks fans , I hear the Eagles and the Dockers forever talking about injuries. And excuses for the position they are in, well I seem to remember this year that Rioli was out for 5 weeks Franklin out for 2 weeks recently , now "who are those guys again" oh yes Shoenmakers, Suckling, Burchell, there's a nice old half back line.Guerra has been out and down a bit too. Sewell was down on form , this happens every year but more importantly , it happens to everyone. It is a very hard job holding the line and staying on top, but the Hawks say nothing just go about business.
Its bad enough listening to other teams supporters ESPECIALLY Eagles and Dockers the world champions for excuse making. We may not be premiers but we are as good and probably better than all of them on the given day, so cut the negativity out . Thankyou, stop singling out our players for rubbishing they are human beings you know.

I do find the automatic assumption that Port will be easily accounted for by both Geelong & Fremantle seriously undervalues how they've played this year, and that Port's record against Fremantle at home isn't too shabby.
The round 23 game could go any way, depending on form, players selected, the lure of a home final etc. There seems to be a strong media opinion around that no matter what we do, Sydney will have our measure.
I don't buy it.

Agree with that. Commentators made mention of Rance's closing speed a few times but from where I was watching it was simply Franklin easing up on his attack on the footy and looking to get under and out the back.
Just mark the ball on the lead.

I think we will win 2/4 which puts us on 68
Sydney 3/4 = 70 - best percentage
Geelong 4/4 = 72
Freo 4/4 = 70
I like your scenario but just not as confident as you are - the bonus will be if pies beat the swans and port do geelong and freo and by the way that's spudess
On a side note, a friends daughter said she dreamt a hawk v freo grand final - something I also said at the end of last year to another friend - fingers crossed

I think we will win 3/4 and finish on 72.
Swans could quite easily go 2/4.
Freo will definately win the remaining games.

I think north will get us this time - we fell over the line just as the cats did in earlier in the season and the other Sydney as I don't think a full squad will go and plus they are the messiahs who carry out audits on all teams they play

While we were flying this time last year, Sydney lost 3 of their last 4 and finished 3rd.
