I don't blame you for not knowing because I had no idea either of these happened either but apparently there was also an NRL SOO game that drew 90K and a soccer game that drew 77K last year.

The reality is a very big stadium is needed.

I miss the days when the MCG had wildlife beyond seagulls. I used to enjoy noting the new species I'd spot in the 12 hours between arriving at the venue and watching the game.

I'm not saying it's essential, but a return to the good ol' days - where herds of wild camels were on the field - would surely add to the atmosphere.
