I really don’t see how anyone can say that after playing only 4 games in defense. The Frampton critics are completely missing the point.
The worrying thing isn't that Frampton was bad, it's that he was good.
Sure, he had those few moments where he panicked, flubbed short passes, fumbled under pressure. But there was only a handful of those moments and when he gets time and space to deliver the ball he's very good.
Overall his game was okay. Coaches love a reinvented player because it reflects well on them. Add in McAsey & Murray's less than stellar form and Billy is now ensconced.
It's only against the best teams and on the biggest stages that weakness are truly exposed. We're not going to be on that stage for years. No one is expecting us to win now so mistakes aren't any big deal. They carry minimal weight. It will take the coaches YEARS to discover that Billy isn't good enough when the heat is on. By then he'll have banked experience too so will be undroppable plus because he's a permanent fixture we won't have developed anyone else.
Billy's good performances are terrifying. Will set us back a decade.
Hmmmm , so FOUR Richmond goals from Frampton clangers. And I haven't rubbished Frampton's game completely, but just from a quick 5 minute scan you've got these all leading to Richmond goals

I need to watch it again didn’t think there was a lot in itUgly!
Fair enough... point remains though. Many of his disposals were long kicks which resulted in turnovers - so: efficient turnovers which padded his metres gained.Kicks over 40m that go to a 50 50 contest are efficient, not any kick over 40m, IIRC.
They are if they're kicked to a 50/50, and result in a turnover. If they're kicked to the Oppo they aren't effective
OK, I get it, you hate Billy.
We won the game despite his best efforts to lose it. Full credit to the rest of the team, that they carried him across the line with them. From reading this you would think Frampton lost the game for us
Lol, no chance.OK, I get it, you hate Billy.
He could get 30 touches and torch his opponent and you would still find fault. I think you had better get used to him though, I think he’s destined for a long career.
I'm sure we'd feel differently if he wasn't personally responsible for 25% of the opposition's goals.OK, I get it, you hate Billy.

Do I risk a ban...Extreme salt on the Richmond board about umpiring. Half the posts on the first page of their autopsy are about it

Deliberate dog act by someone who has form.
Which younger option? Are ypu implying McAsey ....which I hope you're notI agree with that. I think Frampton is okay but people are kidding themselves if they think he is actually going to be a long term player in defence in a good side. He has his moments but even if he is 10% better than a younger alternative I'd go with the younger option.
He's protected like Selwood. If Toby Greene did it, he'd get 3 weeks.Cotchin likely to be reported for what he did to Walker?
Whats happened to the crowds. Have all the older members given up their membership due to covid. A few years ago crowds were always 40k plus33,000 at Adelaide Oval.
Usually lower crowds at Easter as many are away on holidays.Whats happened to the crowds. Have all the older members given up their membership due to covid. A few years ago crowds were always 40k plus
Not sure here, but it looks like he had 27 possessions (4+17+6), and managed to turn 22 of them into a disposal; 17 effectively.
Rachele is a gun! Said it from before round 1! Dwayne agrees today lolGive Hamish his due, Rachelle looks like he's the player of the draft
