Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.

Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating, please let us know using our brand new contract submission form."

Would the Suns entertain moving pick 6 for a future first? Gold Coast will still have the capital to get Rioli and Lombard but it might be a better use of their best asset.

You might have to talk to Richmond about pick #6

Campbell pretty much said it will get done and there is no chance in the world Richmond dont demand that
specially with Salary contribution in the equation ;)

For sure I would try to sell pick 6. F picks would be handy for Suns.

Not sure Tigers list manager, THE GUN, would accept picks 12 and 20 for Rioli 😂

How many list spots will you have if Himmelberg , Rioli & Noble come onto the list

Currently 33 players on senior list (Oea delisting not confirmed yet).

Lombard, Clohesy, Uwland, Noble, Rioli, Himmelberg -> One short.

Luko could leave or players like Farrar, C Graham, Atkins if any interest. Clohesy could stay as cat A. Some players could be asked to move to rookie list.

Cat A Casboult only (if re-signed).

38 is the maximum on the senior list

Are you saying you think you will only take 1 draft pick (Lombard) and promote 2 rookies to make the minimum 3 additions via the draft
Possibly. Clohesy can stay on rookie list. So we could draft 2 players or 3 if we really want. More players on senior list may still leave or some could be moved to rookie list.

Next year possible clean up of senior list. A lot of players will be off contract - Swallow, Farrar, Atkins, Fiorini, Berry, Lemmens, Holman, Sexton, Budarick.

Is it only clohesy and uwland on your rookie list atm?

The below says casboult is senior list, but might be wrong as it didn’t have day as a rookie but I’m pretty sure he was

Casboult was on cat A rookie list. At present, Casboult has no contract, waiting if there will be spot for him. Right now only Uwland (must be upgraded) and Clohesy are on cat A list.

Cat B Johnston and Evans.
Ok so 33 senior list soon to be 34 with uwland
And Oea out of contract on the senior list

Then just casboult (if he stays) and clohesy on cat A rookie list

I thought you were adamant that any salary contribution would require pick 13 to be included.

It will require extra's " If Suns need contribution" but SIX will be the trade
That’s not what you said

Well there certainly wont be any contribution if 6 is not involved

6 is the trade for the player extras would be the other parts
no 6 no trade
Are you the Richmond traded manager? no

Then who knows, 6 for Rioli and 75% of his wage is still a great deal for the tigs, they may just jump at it and get down of bended knee to say thank you to the Suns

Be honest. You are a bit worried how to fill 95% of TPP.
Not really thats easily achieved for 2 years
Lynch has $1.4 mil dues this year and taranto & Hopper both on 7 year contracts as well as a few kids that can all be front loaded then Cap buying comes in the next 2 years where we can trade cap space for draft picks
FC , GWS , Carlton , Freo , Sydney will all be getting tight and will need relief

Cap trading is becoming a major trade as we seen with Bowed / Brodie where 700k-800k buys you a top 10 pick
GC were forst but there will be alot more of this happening soon

A lot of money leaving plus extra 2M TPP in 2025. Who retired besides Dusty? Plus Baker, Bolton, Rioli, Graham. Are we talking about I guess min 5M in total? Some kids will get rich.

Is cap buying actually confirmed? Or just talk at the moment.

Grimes Rusty and Pickett retired

Cap buying will probably come in next year or the following year at the latest i imagine
But it already happens . back in 2016 we traded Brett deledio to GWS and paid $250k x 2 years to get a 1st round pick
We will probably do the same with Rioli to get an extra pick i would imagine and if Baker selects freo this could be done on a bigger scale

Baker & Bolton for 9,10,16 with $600k x 4 years paid by richmond
I think the cap trading is good as it helps lower clubs get better quicker and helps higher clubs keep their players whilst not over paying kids as well as stopping low clubs front loafing players on 5 year deals then when the salary is low they ask to be traded ( Rory Lobb)

Talk is that we'll have over $5m spare in our TPP's next year, I'm sure that we'll bank 10% $1.6m/year over the next couple of years allowing us to hit the FA market hard before Tassie enters the competition. There'll be some front loading of contracts giving extra flexibility as well and with 7-10 first round picks over the next 2 years we'll probably need it. I think it's a Monty that Bolton's and Rioli's contracts will be heavily subsidised and we'll be well set up to take advantage of salary cap trading when it eventuates.

No thats a sensational deal for GC
Any neutral supporters want to chime in, what more fair?

Rioli for 6 and 75% of his wage paid ?

Or

Rioli for 6 plus 13 for part of his wage paid?
