Unfortunately GMHBA is where our cheer squad has witnessed the worst opposition supporter behaviour . We were spat on last game in Geelong. Dreading our game there this year

In all though, very impressed, felt like a real regional stadium and a little bit jealous that Geelong people get to go there every week. there was a really nice social vibe in the standing, too, would be a great way to kill a few of your afternoons.
You got lucky through a marginal seat and a nice bit of success in the mid-2000s when ground rationalisation was really hardcore. One of my greatest flukes / sources of pride is that we still play where (and for) the team is named after.
As time goes by, I bristle less at the steady uptick in whinging about our "home ground advantage". Many are too young to remember the 90s and 80s etc.
While other teams have turned into brands playing at generic venues, we've stayed.
I actually miss, in a perverse way, knowing each year I'd be paying my annual trip to Victoria Park and its goals with no forward pockets, Western Oval with a boundary even straighter than ours, Princes Park with its ... Carlton supporters etc.
Just a tip regarding the tickets and screenshots, I definitely recommend adding it to your Apple or Google wallet on your phone if possible. Doesn’t require service to scan through, and there’s no way to enforce a ban on screenshotting the barcode.Loved the new K Park, I hadn't been since the redevelopment and to be honest sort of bemoaned how generic looking the upgrade was, but it looks really really nice when you're in the stands – really helpful staff, nice concourses, and well organised and quite open so you could get to a toilet or grab a beer very easily. genuinely loved the height of it and how it all just sat.
However holy ****ing shit can they fix the reception in the area? we grabbed a Guinness beforehand and went to look at our tickets and they weren't loading. get to the ground and of course the reception is even worse. the lines for the J Selwood Stand were packed with people complaining about their tickets not working. and when I had the idea to go to the Ticketmaster window, there were some really good staff but the guy I got was a total ****ing idiot and my ticket didn't end up scanning in (some jobsworth kept refusing me even though I had the physical ticket and the confirmation email was still open). some ****wit Cats fan trying to say I was an 'illegal entrant' (like I was scurrying through the US border) because I had gotten a paper ticket was piss funny. thankfully a nice lass had some comment sense and got me through.
But yeah jesus, if you're going to enforce digital tickets and not allow for screenshots then you need reliable internet. the whole area is a deadzone.
