No it was better than that - he was on the backline - and Geel kicked another goal and he said something so the Nth Melb players in the vicinity heard it
They have 33 and 43 but neither is good to us as we have too many picks and no list spots. We need to turn that pick into a future 2nd so we can then send our future 2nd out for bowes and 7 and do bruhn.
Trouble is if we have pick 7 the Pies and GWS will want more!we need to do Gold Coast first. And then scramble for Bruhn if we must.
Something like
18 for Bruhn and 44, values Bruhn at 31 under DVI
38 and 44 to someone like Richmond for 31
31 to Collingwood for Henry
We could give 18 to Freo for 2 x fr2 picks... They need more currency for Jackson...
Haven't heard anyone advocating shopping him out, more that he is going to find it tough to get game time given our probable depth (at least next year).I think Geel should keep him - 2023 wil be make or break for him
But in the games hes played - i really liked the energy/effort/enthusiam he brought to every contest he was involved in - and he looked like he concentrated when he played
You compare that to Narkle - polar opposite in those facets
You guys and the blokes from further down Hoddle Street are a different kind of feral though let's be honest. Also Henry will go to the draft, not sign a one year with you guys.Firstly all boards are feral, especially this time of the year.
You forgot to mention that a number of us are ok with 18. Not ecstatic but it's the best of a bad situation.
At the same time, we're happy to keep Ollie if Mackie wants to low ball us with pick 38. There is precedent for players being forced to stay and thriving (eg Papley). Even those who left eventually (T Kelly, Gibbs, Lobb) provided good service to their clubs before leaving.
The point is that it wouldn't be a disaster for us if Ollie stayed. It provides more time to build bonds with team mates, put his case forward for a regular spot in the seniors etc. If he still wants to leave next year, his value is likely to go up even further. Win win

I don't think he is worth more than what we let Lang go for.
WE simply have to hold hard to having 7Trouble is if we have pick 7 the Pies and GWS will want more!
Can understand Port being hopefully "pretty keen" on Sav.
They've had the likes of Trent McKenzie playing extremely undersized on Hawkins and other key forwards.
They have one big unit (Alir Alir) in defense, but they like to free him up to intercept.
I imagine they'd be keen on getting someone in that has the size to play on the big boy forwards... It's an obvious weakness of theirs.
31 for Henry act going to get it done, he was pick 17 and shown heaps.Something like
18 for Bruhn and 44, values Bruhn at 31 under DVI
38 and 44 to someone like Richmond for 31
31 to Collingwood for Henry

Give more of that sort of troubleTrouble is if we have pick 7 the Pies and GWS will want more!
Tasmania....So who would be interest in Copper Stephens and what would thay pay?
I think 44 is going to go to bedford and 31 will go to gws in the hopper deal (and they wont do 18 for bruhn and 31 unless we are also sending a future 1st).
Collingwood wont do 31 for anyway they will want an early 20s pick at worst.
For eg (purely guessing)
If it was 48 and sav for 33 you might then be able to flip 33 and 38 to brisbane for 25.
Whether coll would then take 25 and 55 for henry im not sure still feels a bit light.
If we are going to do bruhn and henry while keeping our future 1st it would need to be something like that.
Wont be easy to do.
Was something like "It's a shame we are playing this well and its only Nth Melb"
Trade 18 for Henry and just find a way to do Bruhn.
Can you get a copy of the audio... love to hear itBtw guys, Matt Rendell basically confirmed on the call with me that he was full of it, that I was 'taking him too seriously and he was just being facetious' and that me saying it was just an opening gambit and referencing the Pick 8/Pick 30+ Clark opening trade negotiations last year, made a lot of sense.
Completely backtracked when called out lol, which suggests, as we all knew, that he's completely full of it
Unlike many others I don't rely on precedent. Including the Jordan Clark case. Every case is different.Just what do you think is the correct value for him then ...considering he is OOC.
Jordan Clark was P15 and we got 22 ..with a slight change of futures. ... upgrade 4th round
Something went wrong right from the start but they stuck with you your phone was so muffled it was near impossible to understand what you were saying. They should have stopped you and cleared the line up but said you had been hanging on for a long time so continued.
The most remarkable thing in these situations is the club losing the player continues with the charade that keeping him is an option.Firstly all boards are feral, especially this time of the year.
