Trotting out "the forward line will be very young so give us a break if we are still scoring like shit"...he loves using age as an excuse. Yeah, as usual nothing inspiring there and also zero accountability on how the team played. Inferred he 'didn't know which Melbourne would turn up' on a week to week basis, rather than come out and say 'yep we got it wrong tactically last year'.

Don't get me wrong, 21-23 we were in every game we played. The problem was all the issues we encountered in 2022 we did nothing to fix in 2023 (And 2024), hence us getting rapidly worse.

Who cares if we were in every game, it wasn't enjoyable. When you think of having a good side you think of dominating teams, not attempting to get into slugfests each week so the fans know what they are getting and passing that off as a huge win for supporters going to games... Telling us we enjoyed that is complete bullshit. 2016-2018's unpredictability was way more enjoyable.

Felt like 22 we'd paper over the cracks with small periods of exciting football. The first half of the season we got away with it. The second half of the season it all fell apart. Goodwin was stubborn to change then and every game since has been a slugfest.

Our draw in 2022 was the problem, we got really lucky for the first 10 weeks (Think we only played one eventual finalist, the Dogs who lost an elimination week 1). Everyone figured us out after that and Goodwin had no idea how to fix it.

We were in every game is the sort of shit that a bottom 4 club is proud of not a team contending. Ridiculous that we are proud of that. May as well replace it with the other teams would kill to be in our position bullshit as well

Pretty good chance my membership goes to another club again next season
