I don't understand why there is no update on this since April 2024.
Do they adjourn trials for a year sometimes? Couldn't find anything on any outcome.

Both dudes were year below me at school.
Victim had an older brother who wrapped himself and a few others around a pole in a high speed crash and died as a year 12 in around 2005.
Imagine being those parents.

It certainly was and it was genuinely an unbelievable outcome. I hope her parents have changed her name and tried to bring her back to some form of normal childhood. Such a great outcome, but one that the effects will likely last a lifetime.

Been asked several times but never been able to do it. Last time, being self-employed, couldn't afford not to work, so I declined. Would like to do sometime but not a trial that last a few months!

In Toowoomba I’m summons for a two week period. I check every evening the night before to see if I have to attend the following day. If I attend, the empanelment process could take a few hours.
I did a peadophile case and at the end we got a signed letter from the judge instructing us never to talk about it referring to legislation.
There was a jury duty thread in the GD board that I posted about my entire experience which was about 2 weeks.
