I have no idea why finishing last is a dream at all.

Cheer-leading for a wooden spoon for a single player is nonsense. We've got 22 blokes who go out each weekend from a list of 36 players, one player isn't going to make enough of a difference to offset the damage from a last place finish to the team as a whole.

JHF was the consensus, generational #1 draft pick in 2021 and he may yet be the best player from that draft but he's already left North and early signs indicate he's not going to be quite the difference maker he seemed. I'm perfectly happy with Ward, just as I assume Adelaide are perfectly happy with Rachele and Collingwood are certainly perfectly happy with Daicos.

There are a lot of teams in no-man's land I feel.

Port only have themselves to blame for persevering with Hinkley. Their list is better than the performances they're putting out.

For a player like Sheezle though seems worth it, could have had Logan playing forward with Mitch etc. not saying it’s right but sometimes it is worth it.

Melbourne looked very good against the Swans on the weekend. That core midfield unit if Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw and Viney is still solid gold and Grundy is a very handy backup whilst Gawn is injured.

I've said before that of all the recent premiers the only one that would have had even a chance against the three peat Hawks was that Melbourne premiership team.
