I was planning on heading to Geelong with a few mates to watch the game next week. Would it be wise to book tickets beforehand? I was just planning on getting general admission, if that's even still an option these days. I went a couple of years ago and we were able to stand behind the goals down one end.

I grabbed two general admission (standing room) tickets a couple of weeks ago off the Internet for this game - fairly easy, and doesn't mean you need to queue on the day.

Already a thread about this... but anyway, unlike previous games we have had down there this is a fully ticketed game. I phoned the Cats directly and they said they expect all tickets (incl general admission) to be gone before the day. Just jump online and get them now.

does anyone know if row t, bay 7, in the Doug wade stand are undercover?

It's not 'fully ticketed'. That means that everyone requires a reserved seat to enter, which is false.

Fully ticketed doesn't mean everyone requires a seat... it means everyone requires a ticket.

This was made mention in particular to Bulldog 18 game members who will not be able to access the game with their membership card. All Bulldog members need to have either upgraded to a reserved seat or purchased a general admission ticket.

Are those seat prices for real. $54, $64 and $83

Woah  I dont remember ever pying that much, and I have gone to skilled a million times.

Hooray for using a Geelong membership to get in :)

Me too and stood in the dirt on the terraces on the Moorabool side. You got there early then some 6' 6" bloke would stand in front of you at 2:08pm.

Just got my ticket from Bulldog Central and the girl there told me that there are no V Line trains operating to Geelong on Saturday because of roadworks

Can anyone confirm this?

Also a good place to park would be handy :p

South Geelong primary school is close by, which is a good place to park.
Or on the latrobe terrace side of the ground. Pretty much anywhere is good. Not far to walk.

They will most likely have substitute busses if no trains are going. It ill definately be a pain in the arse, but if you intended to catch the train, thats what would happen.

But since you asked where a good parking spot is, I assume you are driving :p

Lucky for me I am just a short drive from the ground anyway :)

Take a vline bus on the same timetable, from southern cross to south geelong. Just add another 10 minutes or so...

OR
To park, go up latrobe terrace and just before you get to the ground, turn right into the streets of Newtown and park anywhere there around the houses. ~10 minute wak away and free
