A few recent video discoveries involving Geelong that I'll make you aware of.
Gary Ablett playing fullback on Jason Dunstall
Entire Rd 16 1992 match now finally online
We were getting well beaten and Dunstall was on fire. Worth a shot, beats doing nothing.Yep, one of Blight's moments of total insanity that he was prone to from time to time.
1952 Grand Final, shot from ground level
I have no words Rhett. Unbelievably priceless footage.
How fascinating to see open standing room to the left of the Southern stand at the Punt Road end, with the old "Grandstand" there prior to the Olympic one being built. Plenty of standing room at the other end where the Ponsford stand would later go too.
So cool to see the players that we've only heard of. Bill McMaster is the lanky number 7, and Bernie Smith number 11. Pretty sure George Goninon is number 18, have to check the rest.
