The highlights reel I posted were as I received them, that's how they were edited by Ch7 back in the days, so if his 67 GF goal wasnt in there its cause Ch7 didnt put it in the higlights package.
Partly also because I rarely had the ball....

Hey Vdubs , 3rd and final request , can you put Billys goal up , midway through the 1st qtr of the 67 GF please - so everyone including Rhett the historian can see what a class goal it was

About 3 minutes in, half way through q1

I come in peace.

Will need to be clicked on to zoom.

Highlighted = VFL/AFL/W players.

I have an Ancestry account and this allows me to cross reference and see if there are VFL/AFL relos.

I've also got 2 more of the same but one is quite tenuous and the other I'm quite confident on.

Grew up listening to the Cats' games at home or in the car with 3GL's (later K-Rock) Footy Team: Ted Whitten, Brian Brushfield, Peter Pearson, and Peter Le Grand. Miss those calls, if only they could archive recordings of some of the famous games online.

Liked him a lot, but a poor kick for goal iirc.
He was a poor kick at goal, but he was still a better kick at goal than Peter Johnston.

Brian Brushfield used to drive me crazy. He had a habit of declaring that the Cats could not lose the game when they had a 3 or 4 goal lead. It was almost like he was stuck in the 1950's before the modern game.

I come in peace.

Thanks for bumping the thread mate - simply because i got to watch Billys great GF goal again

3:20 in Sam deals with Don Scott? the way we were all taught in those days.

There's a clip of Newman at Arden Street absolutely ironing out a North player with a raised elbow that he definitely didn't see coming. From memory it was on the "Sensational Seventies" DVD.

Edit: Found it. About 1 hour 30 minutes 15 seconds in.
