VFL stats v Bullants
Lachie Gulbin - 23 disposals, 4 goals, 4 score involvements, 4 tackles, 4 marks, 3 intercepts.

Hard for Dimma to ignore that form. I reckon there's a fair chance Gulbin will make his AFL debut in this game and probably as the sub. Not sure who he could replace because there were no injuries today and I want to keep Rogers in the team. Anyway, it's awesome to see another academy graduate pushing for selection.

In years gone by I'd be worried about playing a team coming off a bad loss but we should be professional enough that it doesn't matter. Would like to see someone (touk) run with sheezel. Collins will be looking forward to running it back with Larkey and our midfield group comes up against another deep midfield.

North's team against Sydney didn't look great on paper a weird mix of

A handful of gun young players, a bunch of meh mid career players, a couple of retirees and a couple of youngsters without a particularly high reputation.

We've got decent match ups for Larkey (Collins), Curtis (Powell), Zurhaar (Uwland)
Xerri will be a tough ruckman to combat.
But our midfielders should have too much power for theirs.
Our bottom 6 players look much better than their bottom 6 IMO.

Win by 31 points.

I would hope players pencilled this game in the calendar similar to Eagles game. That was a horror game last year. North celebrating like they won premiership, Ainsworth missing gettable set shot at the end.

Crows game was a great preparation. Hopefully, we don't see any impact of that game physically.

Payback time, I hope.

North has a terrible defence.
I watched them last night and at times it was really hard not to wince as they went backwards with handballs and chip kicks until they finally turned over possession
Having said that they will probably win because we have traditionally been the "day out" team for opposition struggling to get a win:rolleyes:

I took my youngest son to that game against the Roos at Marvel last year, hoping to share the experience of a win in Melbourne, it was ****ing disgraceful the tripe our club displayed. Thankfully we look a very different team now

I was there with my boys and my 90yo mum and my brothers-all North supporters. It was a truly awful day in that cold pit of misery they call Marvel. The Victorian side of the family was well pleased

For some reason, we never seem to fully get up for the game against these. Hopefully, this year is different. Defensively, they are horrific. We just need to come out firing on all cylinders and not get lax defensively ourselves(As we did at times against the Crows).

Should be a good one. We are the better side and I feel confident we can win and go to 4-0.
