Have always been on the Dany bandwagon, but god I hope either Jon or Arya have the Lanisters heads on spikes by the end of the show.

Either that or I hope Bran can do that thing and become his wolf and bite Joffreys face off.

Arya needs to go Kill Bill soon.

Loved the fact when the credits rolled it was just silence... allowing you to take it all in. **** me that was intense.

Foxtel screwed that up by putting the promo before the credits, making you think it was an adbreak and then there would be more to the episode.

No one would have heard the music if they put it there as they were all shouting and kicking things.

This was me:

After the show & picking my jaw up off the ground I said to my Mrs thats it I'm done with the show. This morning I'm back but that would have to be the single most full on & unexpected 5 minutes of TV I've ever seen.

The Mrs didn't care about dozens of people dying she only got sad when they killed Grey Wind.

Also its was frustrating throughout the episode how close everyone was to each other except they just missed each other. The Hound is growing on me but that's how the show seems to go, the 'good' all seem to die & the 'bad' seem to live & they then try to make the bad guys likable.

Mrs and I were sat in stunned silence as the credits rolled.....felt like an eternity of silence. Broken by me finally saying what the fck just happened. Mrs was then angry, and said that she is done with this show now. Even the next morning I asked her if she would watch next week, to which she said she would, but that she hates it now. One of her main gripes was why Catelyn killed the wife, and I said, well she did just see her son killed, and knew she was next, so might as well take someone with her.

Anyway, wtf and holy shitballs, what could they possibly do next week to end the season on as much of a kick in the guts as that. I am still a bit numb today.....

That sort of reinforced the name of the series of books to me, 'A song of fire & ice.'

It really looks like the light/fire (Stanis & Dany) will provide one side later in the story & the white walkers will be the ice side of things.

As for the Starks, not sue where they go from here, but Araya, Jon & Bran have had too much build up for there not to be a significant part for them to play going forward.

Vale Gray Wind.

wow just wow

seriously wow, that was an epic episode of television, that last five minutes was full on wow

I am happy for them to always have a week off between episodes, if that is the quality they come up with.

unfortunately Ron I fear todays game 7 will be the red wedding.

Frey - Stern
Bolton - the refs
Starks - pacers

But holy heck ... never been this emotionally affected by a work of fiction before. This is way more than the death of Albus Dumbledore and Sirius Black, way past the deflection of Eragon Shadeslayer to the west never to return, far more thought provoking than the departure of Ian Robson.

heck me

the red wedding will be remembered for 4eva and a day as one of the most gripping scenes in the history of TV/film. similar scenes include:

- ET going home
- death of molly on a country practice
- scott and charlenes wedding
- the entire movie remember the titans
- Artax dying in neverending story
- Frys dog waiting

agreed. unfortunately i farted during the silence therefore breaking the intensity. just during the final scenes it was squeaky bum time.

I think we need to face the stark reality that the outcome for the Starks will be in stark contrast to what we hoped. They really are stuck stark between a rock & a hard place.

I don't think they will try to trump it at all. If I remember season 2 correctly Blackwater was the 2nd or 3rd last ep and then the final ep was really just a wrap up for the season.

They're ****ed.
Full on - Robb was his father's son wasn't he.

Watching and liking the Stark family is much like being a Dees supporter right now. You want them to win but you know deep down that pain and suffering is going to continue.

Ned wouldn't have broken his oath to the Freys to start with, so that wouldn't have happened...

The Boltons are still bastards though - would've betrayed him for profit.

Isn't the guy torchering Greyjoy a Bolton? I thought Greyjoy guessed that.

Seem like a great family if so.

I think we've all realised that after what just happened to three of them ;)

Really interested to see what Edmure and his uncle Brynden do now. Probably have to wait until season 4 to find out. Oh 10 episodes a year isn't enough :(
