I know it’s an innocent comment but I’d stay away from this.
This was mentioned last year as well, probably nothing anyway.

He’s still happily married. He mentioned Dana very recently.I'm normally not one for rumours and innuendo but I did notice Bevo hasn't been wearing his wedding ring lately. He obviously has no need to comment on such things, but could explain changing demeanour etc

Agree with the first bit. Not so sure about the second bit.We love you Bevo. Never leave us.
That's good! Just had Duryeas comments from a year or two back when he reflected on how tough it'd been with a newborn. He'd been written off on here but there were other things at play. He’s still happily married. He mentioned Dana very recently.
I actually think Bev’s been in a good frame of mind since early last year. It took a while for the results to follow but for the last 2/3 of last season the side was humming etc.
Given how we have fronted up with a decimated side I’d be more minded to re-sign him than not at this stage. No rush but I think he’s doing a good job and he’s a known quantity. Glad the club didn’t react to the WC lost in 2023.
New Bevo. Is the old Bevo. Is the same Bevo.
It’s us who change as we flip flop like a carp cast aside on the Murray.
I don’t flip flop. I still think it’s time for a change of coach.New Bevo. Is the old Bevo. Is the same Bevo.

One of the main criticisms of him around 2022-23 was how he kept trying the same things but he’s been extremely bold since.I get what you’re trying to say, but it’s both really. A hell of a lot has had to change at the club since 2023, where the team was putting in some really poor efforts. It was only a small window into things, but even his post game briefs in the back end of that season were nearly unwatchable. It’s not the same person I’m seeing in his appearances this year.
I’ve been through enough seasons with Bev to know that there’s no point calling for his sacking after every loss or for a new contract after every win. The test will be in how consistent the team is over the 24 weeks of the season and, if we make it to the finals, whether we show up when it counts.
Looking at how Simon Goodwin has kept going back to the well on the same game plan for years even though it doesn’t get the best out of his personnel or put his team in enough winning positions, I’m pleased with how we’ve evolved our team selection and the way we play in the last 18 months or so. If we get consistent effort layered on top of that, without the wild form fluctuations of years gone by, then there’s a strong argument to extend him.
I think it's more likely he'd take some time off before taking the Tassie job.Could Bevo walk?
Let’s say Freo comes in with a massive 5 year offer at $1.3M+ a year and at the end of the season, he just walks.
Basically does a Ross Lyon. Not sure I could take that.
It was good to hear Bevo briefly talk about the soft cap etc. and how helpful Egan's appointment has been. As much as I find Eddie cumbersome he got Bevo to speak fairly openly. That was a pretty good performance by Bevo on Footy Classified. Given Tom Morris's participation on the panel and the Jamarra issue's topicality, it was a high-risk exercise for him. He should be proud of the professional and humble way he presented.
What really came through to me is how invested Bevo is in focusing the team's attention on how we want to play, with less emphasis on the opposition. He probably leans too far that way, but that's a personal preference, which says as much about me as it does about Luke. There is no right or wrong about that - both approaches can work..
I wouldn't be concerned about a one or two-year extension for Bevo. I haven't felt that way for several years.
A question without notice, if Bevo leaves/ goes who do you want to coach the team?Regardless of how the next few months go, I still think it would be silly to open re-negotiation talks.
How many times have we seen Ken re-signed middle of the year when they have been top four just to watch another limp finals exit a couple of months later.
Just wait until the end of the season.

I think freo will come hard for bevo. JL is a dead man walking
Good observation - Bevo wasn't guarded in the same way he has been and Eddie should take some credit for that. We have missed the old Bevo's easy manner with the media. It was good to hear Bevo briefly talk about the soft cap etc. and how helpful Egan's appointment has been. We've missed that for the past 5 or so years.
