LUKE SAYERS will continue as President of the Carlton Football Club until the end of 2025.
Blues members voted to pass the Ordinary Resolution at Thursday night’s AGM, approving the extension of Sayers’ Term of Office for a further 12 months.
“Our sole purpose as a board, and as President of this club, is to serve in the best interests of the Carlton Football Club,” Sayers said.
“Holiday” code for hiding from the feds?I'd heard yesterday that the president is on a European Holiday at the moment. Does anybody know this to be true?
Get rid of Sayers. He can not turn this around. His "fake" review failed. Give someone who has a nous for football a go. If Fitzpatrick put his hand up, he will select the right people in the football department

I think if sayers goes i like too see Anthony Koutoufides or Peter Dean or David Glascott take over maybe Mark Maclure will put his hands up or Ian Prendergast might be a look.
It would be great to find an ex Carlton footballer who has business experience. But I'm sure they see how poorly the pres can be treated if there is no on field success.Get rid of Sayers. Dear Aph, Welcome back to finals footy. What a 24 hours it has been for us all. The range of emotions are still swirling this morning but I tell you what, I love our football club. From pure heartbreak to incredible elation, our Carlton family went through it all yesterday and now here we stand, together – finals bound once again. It has certainly taken our entire squad to get this opportunity ahead of us. On the field and off the field. We have all had a role to play. Throughout the year the support in the stands, in the streets and even those who show their passion from home, every single one of us have contributed. My word, it was electric at Marvel yesterday. The support was incredible, the noise deafening – nowhere else will a club and its people have a connection that is so powerful. It really is special and is what makes our club unlike any other. What a remarkable season it has been to this point. The most even AFL competition we have ever seen. Now, we reset. Now, it’s time to make an impact. Our skipper summed it up perfectly a couple of weeks ago when he said, ‘There are more chapters to be written.’ That is the mindset our football club will take into September. The page is blank, what gets written from here is entirely up to us. We get to define Our Story. And our story starts with Stronger Together – a mindset that has defined our football club for over 12 months now. Stronger Together is Carlton at our absolute best. 106,078 members. 106,078 individual stories. 1 powerful connection – our love for this football club. Finals football is all about your competitive advantage and there is none greater than ours – no matter where we go. Regardless of where we are around the country – let’s make our numbers seen and heard in September. Wear your Navy Blue with pride ‘Baggers. Connection will be at the centre of everything we do as a football club over the coming weeks, and I urge you all to live in the moment, to enjoy it with a smile. It all starts this Saturday, in what is shaping as a great day for our football club. It’s time to get the family together at IKON Park. At 8:45am our AFLW side will hold their final training session before we take on Hawthorn in our crucial season opener on Sunday. Our AFL team then ramps up preparations to take on the Lions in the Elimination final, when they hit the track at 9:30am. So if you are in Melbourne, I encourage you all to come along. It is set to be a fantastic morning shared together as a Carlton family, as we launch as one into September. I also wanted to make sure you are across all the key information for Week 1 of finals. If you are a member with game-access entitlements, you should have received an email with all the details you need to know, regarding access to tickets. The main thing to have ready is your 12-digit membership barcode. This can be found in the email received earlier today as well as on the back of your 2024 membership card. Members can secure tickets in the member pre-sale from 10am-2pm AEST Wednesday 28 August. Alternatively, if you’d like to beat the queue, you can secure a ticket to our Member Event based in Brisbane, including a pre-game function and a premium ticket at The Gabba, click here for more information. We also have all-inclusive travel packages from Melbourne to Brisbane available, click here for more information. In addition to this, our Finals Hub is back. This will be your place to access any finals information you require. As always, should you need to speak to someone directly, our membership team is always happy to help, and they can be contacted here should you need further assistance. For those unable to attend our finals this year, you can still play your role by showing your passion online, around town or at home. Enjoy the coming weeks Bluebaggers. Whatever lies ahead. We used to crave for moments like this and now we are living it. I cannot wait to share it with you. Bring it on. Go Blues,

It’s been revealed Mark Maclure has early onset dementia, he’d be a poor choice.
Kouta is loveable and was a great player, but seriously?
Dunno about the rest.
Unsure about Sayers - successful businessmen have a habit of thinking they can apply the same methods they apply to business in unrelated fields - politics, communities, sporting clubs etc. It doesn’t always work.
Great player, but anyone who sells/sellled Herbalife products should not hold a position of power in society. Not the brightest bulb. No offence.Kouta is running for Mayor.. not sure he’ll be available
Keeps pushing that herbalife pyramid scheme lolGreat player, but anyone who sells/sellled Herbalife products should not hold a position of power in society. Not the brightest bulb. No offence.
you do know that the ATO is all over pyramid schemes, shutting them down.
So if Herbalife (or Amway or nutrimetics) is one it would have been shut down by the ATO by now.
That's exactly something someone embroiled in a pyramid scheme would say. Or should I call it multi-level marketing?Every business is a pyramid scheme. there is alway one person at the top making money based on the efforts of those below them.
ASS U MEd wrong. ATOThat's exactly something someone embroiled in a pyramid scheme would say. Or should I call it multi-level marketing?
