I want to play the Wolves guys against Ipswich but gee they been poor last couple of weeks.

If I play Cahuna I wont play Bruno in the mids against Man City. Probably safer play?

Mystery Chip. I can't wait for the thoughts on this. :p
Initial reaction is I don’t like it. Mostly because it’s got nothing to do with what individual players do in a match which is the basis for all fantasy sports.

But…there’s a lot of strategy involved in trying to optimise it which I like and I don’t think the overall point swing between a good and bad chip will be that big.

All the FPL Twitter accounts already pointing out you wildcard into it leading into the first double gameweek. So it feels like another chip that's just encouraging everyone to follow the exact same strategy.

that means taking 1.5 million out of your wildcard team and not being able to triple up on whichever team’s manager you choose.
not sure if the benefits outweigh the costs.

disclaimer: i haven’t put a great deal of (any) thought into this.

There hasn't been a lot of double Liverpool defence out there and Diaz/Jota have both been in and out of sides. Probably not a stretch to wildcard with Salah Trent/VVD and Slot for example.

I haven't thought about it too much either, just scrolling this morning and saw the same idea three times.

also, I suppose those drawbacks apply regardless of whether or not you’re wildcarding so it’s probably easier to manage it with the WC chip.

anyway, it’s a problem for future me.

looking at the rules i think its more beneficial to go a mid table team against a higher team. Man Utd v Forest at home as an example as there are bonus points involved for team ranked 5 places lower and winning or drawing. You can also use transfers to flip between managers so Slot for a double then transfer to a mid table team. Its interesting strategy and am happy that i have 104m team value as it might help move back up the ranks.

thinking more on this. Lets say Liverpool get the double in 25 of Wolves and Everton. I have already used my TC on Haaland in GW 2 so could do assistant manager chip in 25,26,27. Slot in 25 with Salah Captain for the double. Then transfer Slot to Eddie Howe with Newcastle at home to Forest. Forest are currently 7 places higher then Newcastle so if that stays the same at this stage you get a good team at home against an overperforming team which if Newcastle wins nets 10 bonus points on top of the 6 for a win and any goals scored. Then in 27 i could go Chelsea at home to Southampton. I know it uses 2 free transfers, but if i save a few before then it could be really beneficial and i would look to wildcard in 28/29 or 30

You can only pick a manager once and you can't use another chip during those 3 consecutive weeks.

you can use transfers to switch between managers over the 3 week period. you not locked into 1 for the 3 weeks.

bad day. stuffed around with team format and didnt save. would have been 6 more points and Palmer C.

Dirty Hall wasn't in my team, stupidly took him out at WC chip month back but regretted it instantly.

Hopefully Haaland can finally get a double digit score, long overdue. Am I the only fool who still has him?
He will go huge. I switched him to Salah this week and miraculously Salah doesn't get penalty and score double digits

Made a few changes to get Isak in for his favourable fixture run and to grab Timber for exposure to Arsenal's defence which looks better than their attack (i just dropped Saka down). I am so stubborn with Haaland so he is staying.

Happy with Palmer & Salah in the midfield and im just hoping Mitoma can do well with his favourable fixture run.
