Anyone in perth remember "Showbitz" was full of collectibles and more importantly in the mid 90's had the best range of Basketball cards.
YES ! Carousel or Galleria I'd always go in there for something, just not basketball cards.

Then along came "Granny Mays" which was ok. But lacked all the nostalgia i felt as a 10 year old boy

Getting flashbacks of spending a ridiculous amount of time in granny mays in the carillon arcade during school holidays. So many cards to look at.

In WA again, Belmont Forum mid 80's, wasn't much there but squeezed in next to Coles was a little 'record store' known as 'Ayres Rock'. Bought my first cassette there. Subsequently became Brash's, then Sanity, I think. Haven't been there for several years, is probably one of those places to get your nails done now.

Nox Wholesale. Like another Red Dot in Perth in the late 90s/early 00s Still remember that TV ad where they were parading around selling Wu-Tang, DaDa, Sean John and all that shit.

The name is ringing bells, thinking of Cannington but where were they ?

Probably just check out some old Kath and Kim episodes in shopping centres and on the road driving and half those things gone now.

Actually be even funnier to look at old Cop Shop outside shots. Be amazing how many stores that were common place not so long ago we forgotten even existed.

Waltons department stores. I only remember this place because my Mum and Nan took me and my sister to the one that was located in Bourke Street one school holidays to see an instore performance by Tiny Tina Arena and Little Johnny Bowles. Got an autographed copy of this LP still floating around at Mum & Dads.

Does Captain Snooze still exist anywhere ?

Also just in general through main streets of suburbs the old Milk Bar has had a slow death in recent decades. Some still exist but not the old trusty ones of having a pinball machine and video games like Galaga that every place had 1 or 2 such Milk Bars and as a kid you hanged around after school and before footy training.

You can still find Milk Bars but they are run down and more around a residential area away from main streets. Guess the old 7Eleven and petrol station convenience stores killed their niche for existing. In town I grew up used to be 2 Milk Bars for a town of only a couple of thousand. Now if I drive through there will not find one.
Yeah, that's still round, one at DFO in Essendon.

Whatever happened to the Telco "3 Three"?

This company was everywhere and had stores around the place, but just seemed to fade away a few years ago.

Got bought out by Vodafone IIRC.

Always made it confusing watching the cricket when it was the "fourth Test of the Three Test Series".

George's. Was a very upmarket department store when I first came to Melbourne.

Super snooty staff.

I loved George's. They had the best selection of Liberty print fabric and products outside of the Liberty store in London. Also a few other expensive British brands that you couldn't get elsewhere. Can see why they closed down though, too expensive and too staid ultimately.

What about that other mob, Orange. Used to sponsor one of the footy teams, might have been Essendon I think.
Also used to sponsor the cricket as well.

Orange and 3 were both UK brands that Hutchinson Australia had the right to use in Oz.

I think they phased out Orange in favour of 3 and then they were taken over / merged with Vodafone to become Vodafone Hutchinson Aust. They got rid of the 3 brand after that.

Think the brands are still active in the U.K.

They are - 3 sponsor one of the GAA teams and I think sponsor the Irish Rugby team
