Was Bottas fast enough to win a world title ?Yes, you have to be fast enough to win a WC so you can "help" with strategy. You can't "help" with strategy otherwise.
NopeWas Bottas fast enough to win a world title ?
Yes. His results at Williams got him the MB job and he's got 20PP.Was Bottas fast enough to win a world title ?
17 m for oscar. excluding advertising i guess. nice payday for webber too.Perez on a bonus. Bwahahahahahaha
Danny Ric apparently has "no interest" in coming back to F1
His wine makes him plenty of coin these daysThat's no surprise. Even less than most F1 drivers he doesn't need the money. Unless he was going to a car at the very front like red bull (and that bridge is burned) there's no reason for him to come back to be in a squad at the lower end.
You don't have to be fast enough to be a WC in your own right. You just have to be able to be up the near the front and in a position to be able to help with strategy. The perfect number 2 was Bottas at Mercedes. He was never going to win a title but was more often than not up the front and on occasion able to take advantage and win when Lewis didn't.
His wine makes him plenty of coin these days
The help with strategy is overated. Max is helped by always being able to be on the right strategy for himself. All 3 of the other top teams are racing each other and taking points off each other. With Lando and Oscar they are racing each other into the first turn and always having to stop 1 car not on the optimal strategy as they are a lap late. It works perfectly for Max what they have, makes him look better when they are nowhere in the constructors as well, he would love it.
This was interesting,
I enjoyed it but was decent, not brilliantProbably more interesting than the series as a whole TBH.
Had its moments but it was pretty disappointing
Does it? Would love a link to anything that provides details on this. Grape suppliers. manufacturers etc.His wine makes him plenty of coin these days
I mean in the scheme of his career earnings it's probably not a large % but it would be more than enough to pay the bills.Does it? Would love a link to anything that provides details on this. Grape suppliers. manufacturers etc.
AFAIK that's a term partnership with the Pernod Ricard group under the St Hugo Label. Have an interest in the wine industry and would love any intelligence on what his cut is (assume its a licence arrangement). My guess is that its a short lived thing but have no way of backing that up.
Yup he'll be fine without optusHe’s also an owner or part owner of a brewery here on La Côte d’Azur called Blue Coast Brewing.
In the recent discussion about a suitable no2 to Verstappen at RB, you made the suggestion of Hulkenberg and happy eagle, who mentioned Bottas.
From my view reading the thread, the thing about a suitable no2 is that you have to be fast enough to win the WC in your own right. Fast enough so that the team can then manipulate qualifying/pit strategies, and maybe how they construct the car. It doesn't matter what RB do, they can't haul Perez' arse to the podium. Bottas was often has the worse of the pit strategies, which is forgotten about.
So when I read your "moneyball" suggestion of Hulk at RB, it tells me in a roundabout way you think he could be a WC. This is incredible considering how long his career is and having the indignifying record of most races without a win and podium.
They would prefer a second driver being closer to competitors though, because the second driver's strategy could be used to hold up other carsThe help with strategy is overated. Bottas more serious with Oliver's Taranga.Does it? Would love a link to anything that provides details on this. Grape suppliers. manufacturers etc.

Valteri and Tiff are very involved with their wine and gin.Bottas more serious with Oliver's Taranga.
Decent drop to the Ihana wine from McLaren Vale Shiraz (2 different vineyards).
Both here & in Finland too.Valteri and Tiff are very involved with their wine and gin.
Wife and I were lucky enough to have a conversation with them in a Stirling bakery by chance.
They are, its funny that as an F1 driver and successful professional cyclist they can still walk around largely anonymous in this country. Both here & in Finland too.
We went to his Australian Ihana opening last January.
Got talking to both afterwards as had parked next to them. Great couple. Think he enjoyed talking to the only Finns who came on the day.
Helps too that Corinna is a gun wine maker!
