I wouldn't be too scathing on a player's so called limitations from playing at the Dees this season. Apparently they rated his all-round gamer last year, when he won their B&F.
Would be very easy to lose enthusiasm as a 29yo at a club with no direction and who has a habit of sticking it to their loyal senior players.
Just watching him over the past three years, anyone can see he is a clearance machine with pretty good skills and decision making. But at 29 (I think), he's better off going to a top six club for a couple of years I'd imagine.
Was going to thread this but i know its been done so many times it not funny .How damning on the TW era is the form of sarge...so he walks into the club one of the nations hottest under age talents..AA u18 rep...then walks out a few years later a broken hack...fast forward 12 months and a rising star...12 marks on sunday...sheesh they were good ones too....great development TW
Take it with a grain of salt- Got some information today from a person with a fair bit of connections ae carlton that Shaun Hampson is definately going to be traded - we were into him last year and 2nd round pick was the mentioned price.
2 things- 1 i hope we dont give up our first 3 picks & hope its a player swap
I had to ask him how a decision like this could be made & his response was that all coaches & sticks were pretty adamant that he wont make it with warnock & Kruezer there
Interesting because from what i have observed i rate Hampson much more than Warnock .. anyway , as ive said previously , the new coach will no doubt put on hold any list management until he has a good look at itTake it with a grain of salt- Got some information today from a person with a fair bit of connections ae carlton that Shaun Hampson is definately going to be traded - we were into him last year and 2nd round pick was the mentioned price.

With TV going down and suffering through Miller/Mc Guane most of the year ... how handy would Sarge have been ????
After considering it a bit i would not think he would be on our radar anymore . We would have chased him for the same reasons we chased Maric and now we have the mullet recruiting Hampson would be pointless .That was my thoughts aswell, but the way this guy was talking it was a fate a compli
Very fair callsgood luck to the bloke, I was a fan for quite a while, thought he had something, we sure didnt manage him too well, spent an inordinate amount of time at coburg if you can believe it...where he ultimately became a broken down hack and the decision was made for us...he's done exceptionally well to resurrect his career..and for that I dip my lid
not sure that both hampson and maric could fit in same side, I reckon someone like Mckernan is the go, can spend quality time as a Key forward, takes a strong grab...he's the man
Totally Agree with this Post, I would be extremely suprised if we havnt enquired about Smacknot sure that both hampson and maric could fit in same side, I reckon someone like Mckernan is the go, can spend quality time as a Key forward, takes a strong grab...he's the man
I don't know, we had the compo pick there to deal with if we were forced to, but we held firm and managed to get him for 37 instead.also to pick 37 was our pick. if we had pick 25 we probably would have had to give that up for maric.
Of course, it is possible that Post is feeding loose lipped family members with spun yarns in the hope that some interest will germinate. But, this is a gossip thread.
Feels we haven't helped his development.
Would wish him well. Don't think we'd be letting go of a future star, but he certainly won't flourish at Richmond.
