Looking forward to this. Good to see the Overlook Hotel is back.

Danny Torrance is all grown up (Ewan Mcgregor) helping out a young girl with her Shining abilities. Dick Hollorann (Overlook Cook) also makes a return. All the original Shining moments as a young Danny have been re shot, with the exception of the elevator blood scene.

Agree with the trailer. I think the nostalgia will make it enjoyable though.

They're angling really heavily into making this The Shining 2 from the looks however the book was pretty sparing in its overall callbacks. Still, it's a solid story and an enjoyable novel so whatever it takes to get bums in seats.

Personally I'm not a fan from the trailer, especially the way they've chosen to shoot this film. It doesn't look anything like what I imagined a sequel to The Shining would be.

Enjoyed it. Well written, and good performances from the leads Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson and Kyliegh Curran. Just was slightly too long and got a bit silly at the end.

Why didn't they just shoot the hat lady like they shot the others?

But well worth a look.
