Cheers.

So who had the Land Rover Discovery I wonder… . Is that what Ms White from Young Hope drove ?

Was it a Land Rover or a Land Cruiser that Mr Chapman mentioned seeing with child Spider-Man in rear seat ?
Maybe an unknown number of people at Young Hope office knew about the proposed adoption and that the Family went up to Kendall from time to time. IMO the office walls have ears and opinions. IMO a wider group knew about it, not just the worker assigned to the case and some of those people maybe did not agree with the moves.

Maybe shake them off? I don’t know because I have never been bitten.

Time out, as in outside? Why the hell she ever did that.
Chase them? Possibly, to put them in time out inside, their bedroom, like normal people.
But if he fell off the verandah I'd call 000, whether they were dead or alive.

Even if there was someone at Young Hope prepared to risk life in prison kidnapping a child and knew what the address was, William wasn't supposed to be there until the following day anyway.

They'd have to try and hang around without being seen by anyone and hope on the off chance William would wander out of the adults sight, bearing in mind an abductor wouldn't know if he was out of sight with all the windows in that house, quickly drive up a dead end street, haul him into the car silently and drive off back the same way they went in.

You can get to the lake

Thanks for that.
I was sure he said Lake Cathie and that made me look up to see if there was a Woolies and Khodarys at both, which there Is.
Also the bit about having to go home.
I just didn't know where I read or heard it.
Was he seen on CCTV at Lakewood.
Did the Chemist receipt say Lakewood Khodarys?

Maybe you search the house and garden first, then the closest neighbours and adjoining blocks before driving further than a 3YO could actually walk? Maybe you dial 000 first or talk to the neighbours first, or your spouse, or your mother to let them know where you are going? Or maybe you are not really looking for a lost child?
I often wonder for how long he was unsupervised

We don't even know if the FM or the FGM were asked if they heard the same car that the Crabbes did?

If the FM and the FGM said they didn't hear it, why didn't they hear it if the Crabbes did?

Sounds like Benaroon Drive was as busy as George St that morning, if you believe it.

That’s what I can’t decide. Are the lies and inconsistencies to cover up disposing of his body or to cover up that she was grossly negligent, and left him
unsupervised from 9:38am til FF was nearly home because she was sick and tired of dealing with William.

Was William gone for 20 minutes, 30 minutes plus? Enough time for someone to abduct him.

Not imo.

I believe the drive was before FF arrived home, and therefore before she alerted neighbours.

Sharpley was still actively engaged / searching with FM when she called 000.

Const Rowley (1st responder) arrived 10 mins later and supposedly searched the house and stayed with FM as the search ramped up.
Wonder if she and const. Rowley had high tea?

Right so if he bit her she might have bitten back.
If he kicked her she might have kicked him back.
If he punched her she might have punched him back.
And what might happen to a 3YO boy who was hit or kicked in the head?
All possible, I truly love my mother , we have worked on our relationship for many many years but she was the type of mother who ruled with a wooden spoon and god forbid it that broke , the hairbrush next .
Yes I wasn’t her biological child but I feel she would have treated biological children the same as it was what she learned as a child . I can’t see her committing murder or hiding a body but obviously her impulse control was minimal back then although this is the 70s I’m talking about and I’m pretty sure the recommended thing back then was bite a biting child back but she would admit today it was a knee jerk reaction.

And did the Crabbs hear any other cars coming and going?

If I noticed, in detail, the 2 parked cars, colour and shape, and that the driver's windows were down.
If I noticed the red haired weathered look of a man, you looking at me, I'm looking at you.
It would not be forgotten because the detail would br fresh in your memory 3 hours later

I wonder if they did hear it and thought it was FF and they sent William down to meet Daddy and the inconsistencies are to cover this up and the amount of time before they realised.
Would explain why FM asked FF if William was with him.

There might have been a case worker at Young Hope who was obsessed with William. Who knows. People can be crazy.

And they sent him down and there just happened to be an abductor with a window down, the passenger window, to yank him in and take off? Good timing with the abduction.

It was in the middle of nowhere.
Maybe an opportunistic abduction and/or someone known.
Still haven’t seen if there’s solid alibis for certain people.

If she did that, there's no way she wouldn't have suspected straight away he'd been abducted and she should have told 000.

That seems like really bad form, it's almost as bad as if she had moved his body off the property. It's the kind of behaviour I'd expect from someone who might be capable of in self interest, covering up an accidental death and hiding the body.
