I love it!

2 problems:
1. Those future drafts might/will be compromised by the Tasmanian Team, &,
2. We don't yet know to what extent they'll be compromised by Tassie or F/S & NGA.

Could well end up trading out a Pick 3-5 for a 12 & 15 etc. Not that I think it's on the cards, but you'd wanna know what AFL is doing ahead of time (which will never happen).
I don’t think we should do it a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and all that but oh boy would it be funny

If Voss goes, they'll almost certainly start winning games. They need to re-sign him for another 10.
Fortunately, Brian Cook is fairly thoughtful and methodical and won't be swayed by outside noise.

Yes, I see Voss getting the sack, but Cook is more likely to let the year play out than be too reactionary.

Those who are saying that carlton can win 8 games are exceedingly generous or wildly optimistic.

They'd be favourite to beat West Coast next week, and the only other time they'd be more than a 50/50 chance is the next time they play West Coast.

They are essentially the same team that won 11 of the first 15 games last year.. whilst that was a long time ago and they are looking slow, unfit and deflated at the moment, of course they could win 8 or more- if Voss is sacked next week they’d be instantly better.

They aren't looking that bad. Besides the Richmond game I wouldn't have tipped them in the other 3 before the start of the season and they haven't been thrashed in any like say Collingwood or Port have.

If they keep playing how they are wins will come.

On the flip side.
If they keep playing like they have, morale will diminish and the losses will keep on keeping on.
Long may their shitness continue. F@rrkem

If we got the number 1 pick would this be the best trade since the Croad deal in what we got, if you include who we drafted.

Has any team ever been more demoralised by losing a single match than the Blues were after losing to Richmond in Round 1?

They win that one, maybe get a bit of confidence and win one of the next three and they are 2 / 2 with some winnable games ahead. Not too bad a launch pad for the finals.

Instead they drop a 7 goal lead to possibly the worst team in years and now sit at 0 / 4 and looking very shaky.

Blues were so good that first half of rd 1.

Missed so many easy goals. It should have been 10 goals+

Hopefully that defines their season

When we were 0-5 and everyone was laying the boots in you could still see the growth and what we were doing.

Blues are regressing rapidly and morale is such a key thing. Once that Will is gone it really saps energy.

If Carlton don’t beat coast this week north will destroy them and they will be 0-12 by the bye. That’s club destroying for a list, club and group that expected to finish 2nd (weird position to believe to finish in).

Next game really becomes the big one to death ride.

Especially if Voss continues to blame the players after a loss.

I remember Leigh Matthews said in an interview, that after a bad loss early on in one of his final years at Collingwood, he aggressively blamed the players, and the coaching staff didn't take enough ownership. He said from that moment onwards he knew he had lost the players, and that his time there was done.

Listening to Voss after the loss, he used words like 'unacceptable', 'gave them strong feedback', 'not good enough', and also that it wasn't the time to listen to feedback from players. There are times coaches need to make a stand, like Mitchell against Gold Coast last year, but in this situation it's an alarm bell. The Blues had just played three very taxing games in a row and not quite fit enough to play for 4 quarters, and then into a 6 day break last night... so I didn't think that was going to be an unexpected result that eventually they would look flat.

To now start pointing the blame solely at the players for not playing at 100% all of the time of this highly taxing, and demanding game plan, that isn't getting them results, when clearly there are other issues (system, fitness, ball movement, list management) at play, is a real danger sign.

Noticed after the Tigers loss one big thing that stuck out for me in the post game presser Voss he did not apologise once for that performance to its members and supporters!

When I look at Mitch he has always put himself on the line as the head representative of the club preaching accountability and holding firm on the vision of our club! Like a CEO

Wouldn’t have a clue about Voss’s vision and he doesn’t seem to be accountable and take responsibility …… what a different contrast!

I think I have caused the “Hawks death ride” thread on the WCE board to be shut down.

The one muppet who claimed we had an ordinary list of B graders I sent into meltdown when I pointed out how silly he was.

He then claimed that Barrass and Sicily were our only A graders, after saying we had none.

He claimed none of Massimo, Worps, Newk, Ward, Frenchy would get a game in Sydney or Brisbanes midfield.

Anyway they can’t take more over there and the thread is now officially “Not open for more replies” 🤣

There are more than enough posters in that thread who knew the club had made the wrong decision. No point engaging with that one poster, I get the feeling he's trying to convince himself more than anything.

His body language stinks on the bench, culture comes from the top down and you can tell he isn’t helping the group. His stuck in the old 2000s mentality where Sam is always evolving.

The only saving grace for Carlton is Graeme wright now has the keys

Carlton mods just shut down the Hawks death ride thread.

Is the legal?

It was bringing me such joy 😔
We're only in round 4 and they've already thrown the toys out of the cot. What a bunch of spoil sports.

Maybe we can just start up another thread and name it the same name and tag the same WC posters in it 😂
