A plea to ASADA to use lube :p

We opened up, came forward and our clearance is another step closer today. Melbourne laid low, kept quiet and hoped to avoid scrutiny. A very poor and deceitful effort from a pathetic FC, plead all you like you're in the poo, son. Taking all your points away is off the table, so what will the MFC cop for their deceiving, underhanded and dubious handling of this serious situation?.

did anyone hear after Evans had left and they had the camera still rolling? One of the Journos said what are the erotic substances. Someone replied it probably helps you get a stiffy. It was gold.

I wasn't aware he hired them actually. I guess you need to have some concepts of chains of command to comprehend the issue

If Essendon's football department understood chains of command we wouldn't have this sub-board or any of these conversations at all. (Assuming of course that the risks taken were not intentional.)

One I was making a joke. Two that's completely incorrect, we had only just found out about how involved Dank was with our club when the 7:30 report came out.

Melbourne are in a spot of trouble for sure, Essendon seem to be up shit creek without a paddle.

CEO reports to the board, in particular the chairman. So yep, buck stops with both of them.
lol, nice reverse Timmy. You said he disagreed with me and quoted the part about the CEO being ultimately responsible. The CEO does his job. Yes he reports to the board but what are you trying to say? Why have a CEO if "ultimately" the buck stops with the President?

He doesn't disagree with me, and you were wrong. I know you hate that, but them's the breaks.

are you trying to say Evan's hasn't done a good job (and if so, why?), because otherwise, with all due respect, your comment is redundant

Its not a reverse its an extrapolation.

Its just one big EFC Circle Jerk.

Why wont they provide the FULL Report?

Basically the CEO is reponsible for everything that happens...but no one is to blame.

Why were Dank and Weapon stood down again?

Surely they have a case for unfair dismissal now?

If no-one has done anything wrong, give out the full unabridged report.

I couldn't hear a lot of the presser being at work but what was the go with the medicare stuff? Any idea anyone?

Was to do with the club self reporting to medicare after discovering that (i assume unauthorised) medicare claims had been made on bloodwork carried out by doc's external to the club - sounds like an issue for those doc's who made the claims

I find great heart in the fact that, as the club has had pharmacology experts advising the club for 3 months, Evan's is steadfast in his belief that players have not been administered any prohibited substances & stressed that again at the presser.

que but but but, internet detectives know better blah blah blah

I think, as Ziggy said, he has done a good job of keeping the wolves from the door since they got wind of the ACC report and ASADA were walking up the street, but that he along with Robson, Hird, Thimpson and Corcoran did a rubbish job at setting up an organisation where these devastating failures of governance and risk management were able to occur. Shareholders would want their guts for garters - remains to be seen if the members, including coterie members, are more forgiving of this board.

I disagree with what Evans said, heads need to roll REGARDLESS of what the ASADA investigation comes out with. He basically said no one has any Idea of what happened or when any legal documents were....

I suspect that they will but in time.

It'll be Robson who does go.

There are only 2 ways Evans can go.

One is if ASADA finds the club completely guilty and he is banned as a board director for 2 years - which may also cost him his board memberships with Victoria Police and his own company; or

If the Essendon membership, of which i am one, decides not to vote for him and others in the upcoming board elections in November and December.

1. The club doctor writes a letter expressing concern about the supplement program. He passes that letter up the chain of command to I assume the CEO. I'm sure he would have also had discussions with the football dept about his concerns.

2. The letter gets filed away rather that being forwarded to the board.

3. The board are denied any knowledge of the doctors concerns about the supplement program yet nobody loses their job.

4. Yep, all the governance issues seem to have been addressed.

I am sure another nice little donation from the Evans family to Essendon Football Club will keep the members happy and see him re-elected in November.

"Don't do it again" seems to suffice in this situation.

If I ever screw up at my job to the point where my actions or inaction causes my organsations name to be tarnished publicly I will use this report as precedence of best practice in crisis resolution.

"EFC contractors placed orders on suppliers outside normal procurement and authorization processes with EFC listed as the purchaser. This included acquisition of exotic compounds that may or may not have been intended for use by the Club"

Hmmm Interesting word to use instead of "illegal", "banned".

About as convincing as Nazis at the Nuremberg trials.

You're hanging on way too tight, buddy. You have an Essendon avatar, Essenon sig and you are so incensed that you're comparing us to national socialists? ! :thumbsu: I'm going to be sure to follow your posts once we're cleared without suspensions, your meltdown is going to be a thing of beauty. Stay crazy, champ :hearts:
