God I can’t wait that long. I was 15 when we won our flag. That will be 30 years. What has kept me sane is that we’ve given ourselves a chance every 6 or 7 years.

We don't have anywhere near the midfield profile to get us there, unless we pull off some massive trade coups over the next 2 or 3 years.

I don't think we will finish in the Top 4 in the next five years 🤷
There's every possibility we don't.

Rebuilding in 8 years is with everything going absolutely perfectly. Many rebuilds fail and need a second attempt. Or third attempt

I reckon our drafting between 2016 and 2019 has already held us back from the perfect rebuild. So winning a flag in the next 5 years seems pretty optimistic.

Ultimately I just don't get the point of a 5 year plan for a club in our position. Just setting us up to fail.

I don't think it makes any difference either way.

I was 10 when we won our last premiership, I'm 35 now and we made one Grandfinal in that time. I absolutely can not even remotely see us winning a flag within 5 years and I think it's absolutely stupid to announce this crap as isn't it every teams goal every season to "Win" the premiership.

Football clubs should always be planning to win a premiership. It's the only reason they exist at the end of the day.
5 years probably is ambitious given where our list currently is, but there's nothing wrong with that imo. Got to be aiming high or what's the point

The Legs will ease your pain😁
Yes they’ve done that 12-14. Then last year. When Norwood won in 97 I missed out on going as we had been to Melbourne to watch the prelim and gf the previous 2 weeks. My dad then had to work the following weekend so couldn’t take me. I ended up at Moonta watching the match with my port supporting grand parents. Lol

Do these sorts of announcements ever work out? Don't they usually backfire and give opposition supporters more material to work with?
Worked for Richmond
