He was fine, if not good to play with. Quiet when i first arrived but had a laugh with the table as the night wore on. Didn't cop any beats though which is where he can lose his cool

I've played with his brother lots though, who is a good guy but loves to complain

Isn't that most poker players? ;) (me included!)

They playing tomorrow? Or is it finishing tonight?

I'm not sure, as far as I know they are still playing to the final table, it now says there are 13 left but don't know who has been knocked apart from hachem.

Both me and ash have made the final table returning tomorrow at 2pm

I went to the chip lead with around 30 remaining to 1.2m but only taking 616k into tomorrow and am the shortest stack

Tough table, hopefully I can get a double early

I'll go through some hands tomorrow morning

Congrats

Was this one of the tourneys you staked off some equity?

I mentioned it originally but decided not to. I almost didn't play the event. I helped a friend move house on the thursday in 39 degrees and finished at 4:30. I decided then I wouldnt play it, went home and sat around the house for 15 minutes and figured I had nothing better to do so I went in

Started day 2 with 80k and was put the on first break table and was broken within the first 20 minutes or so with nothing happening. Moved to 47 and sat there while the bubble burst. Nothing happened, just stared at 9 high for the first few hours.

The bubble burst and we were the first table broken, I was moved to my run good seat, table 31 seat 1. It feels like any deep run I've made in tournaments have come from this seat (I actually hate the seat to be honest, but all of my good memories seem to come from it). I'd stay there for the next 10 hours so

I guess seat 1 wanted to welcome me back, first hand I look down at Aces for the second time of the tournament. Crown reg and big stack player opens (I forget level) and I 3bet ship it in and get tank called, I hold against 88 and upto over 100k. For the next couple of hours I just chipped around and up, cracking the 200k mark for a little while while we lost player after player.

I really dont remember how, but I ended up with around 550k when this hand happened. Tight shortstack opens to 35k at 8k/16k, women who is new the table plays her first hand by 3 betting to 105k. I look down at KK and make it 215k and it folds back to her. I kind of cringed a little when she flat called, instantly thinking of every horrible flop that could put me in an aweful spot with nearly half my stack already in. The 9 high flop was ok by me though. The lady open shipped her remaining stack (having me covered) and she had really the only hand that she could possibly have in QQ and I fade the turn and river

I ended that hand with 1.2 mil and took it to the dinner break about 20 minutes later, down to 27 players. That was as high as my stack would get for the day though. Its now I should mention how good I was running table wise. I wasnt envious of Ash12 who had Hachem, Guzzardi and Rubie all to his left. We were joined though by a Euro EPT winner who threw his hammer down straight away, running away with the chip lead.

I doubled up a short stack all in pre with my KQ unable to get there against 77, then doubled another player with my AK flopping an ace but having JJ spike a set on the turn all in pre. I battled from there hovering between the 700-900k mark while the average slowly creeped above 1 mill. Then something interesting happened where our EPT hero was moved to the second table (2 tables remaining) and taking all the chips with him. This meant that the shortest stack on Ash12 tables of superstars still covered the biggest stack on our table (which was probably me at around 800k)

I struggled from there, ran into some reships etc before we lost our shortest stack player and we were on the FT bubble. I was pretty convinced it was going to come from our table despite the fireworks from the other. I shipped in it a few times pre but was able to get through, until Aces ran into Kings on the second table and we were bagging up for the night, total of 616k returning at 20k/40k with 13.5k cash locked up
