Monkhurst? Vale your fence. The biggest magpie I’ve ever seen just landed on my fence.
If it broken I suspect it is stuffed, even with intervention. We're housing a family of ravens in a magnificent gum out the back. Two juveniles and the parents.
I love them so much, not least because they took action against the kookas and their 5.30am prattling.
However, one of the juveniles can't do much flying, seems to have a broken wing. Question: Can a wing heal itself, or is an intervention required, or is it doomed?
If it broken I suspect it is stuffed, even with intervention.
Hopefully it’s something less than a fracture.
Tough gig in nature's world sometimes - good on you for caring. We'll keep an eye on it, but the other juvenile is up and about, so it doesn't bode well.
Such beautiful and intelligent birds, I hate thinking that this one is stuffed at the outset.
The biggest magpie I’ve ever seen just landed on my fence.
Worth drafting?

JMAC's MAGPIE
Team: N/A
Position: Midfielder
Height: about 20cm but some reports at 195
Weight: about 1kg, mostly feathers, so about right for a Collingwood KPP prospect
Expected draft range: 40-70
Projects as : Think Bont but with feathers.
Background:
A bit of a draft smoky, JMAC'S MAGPIE has shot up into draft calculations with a strong late season charge. While lack of exposure to elite programs is a concern, this has never stopped Derek Hine in the past, which is why we see him as a genuine prospect for one of Collingwood's third round selections.
Demonstrated elite traits while foraging for worms in jmac's yard, displaying a talent as an inside extractor/distributor without parallel, at least for worms.
Some queries about non-beak disposal skills, but appears motivated and clearly the Pies are in need of an elite big bodied inside mid type to replace Brayden Sier. And lets face it, an actual magpie can't be worse than the Bear. Derek Hine is reported to be excited by his upside, which is practially infinite given he is currently a small avian about one third the size of a Sherrin who eats worms mostly.
Elite traits
Vocal on field
Two way flying
Extraction (worms)
Vision
beakwork
Repeat efforts (in swooping season anyway)
Vertical leap (wing assisted)
deep hatred for any bike riders means unlikely to have Dustin Martin type concern.
Queries:
Tendency for chirpiness may get in trouble in these days of umpire dissent crackdowns
will need to tone down his propensity to go for the head especially in spring, which may mean never available for finals
Query on hands given he doesnt have any
Could have off field issues with company he keeps though given he is hanging around with jmac70
Tank - beep test was abandoned when his squawking meant nobody could tell what the count was.
Verdict from Cal Twomey:
"The hottest thing to come out of jmac70 's yard since that pic of him where his robe accidentally opened, JMAC's MAGPIE could be the answer to every Collingwood fan's dream. Watch out for him for a pick in the 40's

What’s best about this is it is perhaps by far the least ridiculous stuff said at the conferenceAnd now to watch the remainder of the Liberal party disappear up its own arseh*le
Conservative Liberals embrace at CPAC to celebrate the electoral defeat of ‘lefties’ within the party
Teena McQueen tells conference ‘the good thing about the federal election is a lot of those lefties are gone’ while Amanda Stoker asks conservatives to ‘speak up’www.theguardian.com
Former Liberal senator Amanda Stoker has argued the Coalition will remain in opposition “for a very long time” unless it focuses more on conservative social issues, while federal vice president Teena McQueen has welcomed the defeat of “lefties” within the party.
Many guests at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Australia on Sunday criticised the approach of the Liberal party and ex-prime minister Scott Morrison, suggesting they had been too progressive.
Just wonderful - fantasticmeet Derek and Clive
both about 8 to 9 months orphaned joeys. loving their new pouch lifestyle though

nahnah has picked me up for next season, but I'm glad that there'll potentially be an influx of newbies like myself. If anyone is looking for something to keep themselves occupied during the off-season, might I suggest giving the Sweet FA a look?
You've probably been hounded before but as we're on the verge of a potential expansion, there are more positions on the field.
Here's the link with all of the information you need plus where to register interest. The Dragons are in need of some players and that's where Collingwood legend Pie 4 Life has spent the better part of his past 16 years on this website.

What is SFA? Sweet FA is social fantasy football league based around the Qooty footy simulator. Twelve teams compete in two seasons each calendar year in a home-and-away format with finals, similar to AFL. Each week, teams engage with their opponents in the baattle of wits in dedicated match...www.bigfooty.com
RoyalsThat's awesome. I take it for the expansion team?
Then why not recruit them now instead of waiting for next season?Royals
Because I think he can win the EKA next season, it’s too late this season for that. Why rob him of one of the main awards for some end of season games? Then why not recruit them now instead of waiting for next season?
Royals are full of posters, let them play for the Dragons I say
No you don't but sure, I'll leave you be with your recruit. Just a shame they're missing out and have to wait until Feb.Because I think he can win the EKA next season, it’s too late this season for that. Why rob him of one of the main awards for some end of season games?
Royals lost 4 posters to other clubs heading into this season, we have spots if you’re interested
I tried to recruit him before this season, he told me to come back next year as he has commitments irl… I’ve now got him locked in next season which begins next yearNo you don't but sure, I'll leave you be with your recruit. Just a shame they're missing out and have to wait until Feb.
Royals also recruited 4 posters. I'm interested in you, but not the Royals.
I’m also dreadfully busy ATM. Can’t give less than 100%Then why not recruit them now instead of waiting for next season?
