LOL! No they don't! She begins "If you come to ICU with the virus...". You transmorphed that into "old asymptomatic person comes in..."

Again. Comprehension.

OK so if the data is shit they're just doing their jobs badly. But again your harping on this point implies that there's something more to it than that.

I'm done arguing on this point, go watch the whole press conference and look up changes to the coding in the US. I think they are still trying to find ways to match the Italy experience to validate assumptions.

It concerns me that some do not understand the full ramifications of a shut down of the worlds economy's....

So why would a shutdown of the economy happen unless this was an extremely serious situation?
Most major economies have right leaning pro free market governments.

They aren't taking an economic hit unless it's absolutely necessary.

Maybe people would stop making assumptions about your motivations if you answered direct questions about your motivations.

I have.. multiple times. How much clearer can it be? I'm worried that people are going to die for a lot of other reasons if we are making decisions on bad modeling and shutting the economy down for an extended period. How difficult is this to ****ing understand.

What do you think is their agenda behind doing that?

It's not even proven or known that what we are doing is going to work...they are not even sure how the virus is transferred.

I read around that people think they going back to their jobs in 2 months time happy to take the hand out offered to them...

Their job may not be there in 2 months time.

We all saw how people reacted during the toilet paper saga I shudder to think what's going to happen when if shit actually hits the fan.

A lot of people are dying, period. Worry about that.

A common scenario just here in Australia if we have an extended lockdown would be someone losing their job\normal salary and getting JobKeeker. Say they have 20k of savings. They pause their home loan (which continues to accrue interest) but continue to have car repayments and expenses with jobKeeper/Seeker covering say 50% or less of what they were previously earning. When we come out of lockdown in 6months time they go back to work, not long after they are canned permanently because there's no enough business anymore but now their savings have dwindled, their home loan has gone backwards and they are on NewStart with a big unemployment line infront of them. So yes the government has helped them through the lockdown but afterwards they end up screwed anyway. If the lockdown goes say 12months they'll be out of savings and quite possibly dipping into super. That is if the person has any savings at all in the first place which many will not.

The discounting of the reality of a long shutdown is perplexing, it's a huge issue that is a massive part of this crisis which to solve competently requires wait for it.... accurate ****ing data. But hey, we think it's "just the flu" apparently.

No, you've avoided the question about what you think the agenda is behind the inaccurate data.

The alternative is do nothing and we watch as 20 million Australians get infected, 500k die and another million have severe illness

Clearly unlike yourself I'm able to worry about both ends of it. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Yes you and NEGAN are the only people to worry about the economic impact. Also the only people to take notice that the majority of the deaths are of those that are old and have pre-existing conditions.

Well done, super impressive. I'm surprised no-one else had noticed.

"I think they are still trying to find ways to match the Italy experience to validate assumptions"

No, that's not an agenda. Why are they doing that?

In a battle of getting some movement in the economy again vs human life I think we know what will win out

they are not mutually exclusive...

Loss of life is going to happen with no movent of the economy.

It's trying to figure and balance what's best.
