We have a chequered history, sadly. Although Leon was popular and Brad Dick was absolutely beloved, everyone was devastated when he did his ACL.

Leon's little boy was decked out in a Collingwood jumper in that recent clip of him having a kick so Leon can't have been too disenchanted with the club. I don't think our club has any more of a problem than the rest, we just attract the headlines and the media hover over every potential issue and hype it up. If anyone thinks the Richmond footy club (for example) with it's on-field thugs and off field crooks like Graeme Richmond weren't ruthless when it came to sledging or putting players off their game is kidding themselves. Yeah- it was just Collingwood. They literally king hit their way to a flag in 1973 and to this day Balme is celebrated as Mr. Nice Guy. I'm in Swan McKay's corner. He still has no time for him after what he did to Southby.

At this stage, getting into dangerous spots is the issue, - he doesn't touch it very often and his awareness with the footy doesn't look good. But with his pace, power, intent and solid skills - I can't see him not making it.

At this stage, getting into dangerous spots is the issue, - he doesn't touch it very often and his awareness with the footy doesn't look good. But with his pace, power, intent and solid skills - I can't see him not making it.

Just a matter of adjustment and accumulated knowledge.

Stengle is an appropriate example as he is concurrent with this very young group but both Stevo and Swanny predate this group and the rebuild mentality that surely pervades it.
The baby bombers is the nearest example I can think of, my thinking is of a true group of young men meeting and growing together towards football maturity and what the prospect of a loose canon introduced could mean.

I like the combination of McCreery and Ginnivan. Don't think either are certain to make it, but as types they fit well. McCreery more defensive and Ginnivan more skilled.

Ideally you need one of them to be able to read the ball off the pack and kick some goals. Ginnivan seems crafty like a young Sidebottom. Maybe he plays a little higher up the ground

Stack isn't even smart enough to cover his tracks like Swanny I dunno ................I just reckon as guys like JDG finally seem to be maturing a bit (I could be wrong but he seemed a lot more "grown up" at the Copeland) that the last thing we need is Stack. But you could also be right and he finally turns things around but the record for these sorts of guys with lots of talent in constant strife at multiple clubs isn't great.

PWS the 'return to training' in the new year will definitely be career defining for a lot of our senior players.
