Hi everyone - some very exciting news.
A few of us Canberrans have been talking to the Collingwood Football Club about the lack of an official supporters group here in the ACT.
As you can see here (https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/fans/supporter-groups-and-coteries) many states and territories already have a supporters group of this kind.
In the last couple of weeks Collingwood has agreed to allow us to establish an official supporters group for the ACT and Surrounds. We've also had support from Lighthouse Pub in Belconnen to allow us to watch the games from there, with drink and food discounts.
We're going to use facebook as a means of communicating to people about upcoming events.
Please be patient with us as we go through the process of Incorporating and finding volunteers to host games at the Lighthouse Pub.
There will be a proper process to become a member. Please note there'll be no cost in 2025, either [note any future cost is a debate to have as a group - for example in QLD they charge $30 a year and provide people with snazzy key-rings and bumper stickers and even arrange a couple of players to come up throughout the year].
