A 2008 Herald on Sunday investigation found that goods purchased in a Chrisco hamper cost 24 per cent to 38 per cent more than if they were bought in the supermarket.
 
PFD Foodservices == Pet Food Distributors who made their fortune in the 70s selling brown sludge dog food (complete with bits of chopped intestines and lamb docking rings) in red ice cream containers. Two of them were on the shopping list every week for our German Shepherd.

Now they're one of the big wholesalers for the retail / restaurant trade.

We had some visitors over one night and their daughter (a bit older than me) helped me get the dogs dinner. She asked me if I ate his food and I said yeah and started crunching on a dog biscuit to prove it. She said nah not the biscuits, I eat the meat out of the tin.

actually just last week when I was sick I did ask for nutri grain for some reason and that would be the first time in atleast ten years i had it - something about being sick that triggers some weird comfort foods but yeah nothing else would even be close

I just dont get it
 
Chrisco started showing up in my fb ads, likely because of this thread.

They've been having a social media competition trying to get people to share their photos, which is great, cos the Venn diagram of people who use Crico and boomers who still can't figure out hashtags is basically a circle.
