Darling has kicked 5 goals for the year. Hill has kicked 4.
Cripps has kicked 5 goals, averaged more disposals and more tackles than both of them. He also hasn't thrown his head back like he's been shot.
I don't think Cripps deserves the blowtorch.

At the risk of being flamed, I would have liked to have seen Cripps get moved through the middle in short bursts when the rain fell. The bloke has some toe and has enough fight/run to just keep the ball moving forward. Agree he's copping way too much of a pasting.
Normally he does go through the middle a couple times a game, or at the very least you see him starting on a wing.
Don't recall it happening against Richmond though. It would have been a good way to get him into the game.

Schofield in for Giles, McGovern pinch hitting ruckman that rests forward.
Schofield provides allot more run than Giles and it frees up McGovern to cover the ground as well as provides another marking target up forward.
Yeo is down back playing well so we don't need McGoverns intercept marking as much.

Going by what Simmo said on 6pr it sounds like at least 2 players will not get up and my guess would be Darling and maybe Shep or Vardy?
Have a feeling that McGovern would have a huge game up forward one day if left there. Kick a big bag.

I like Vardy.
He's been a pleasant surprise this year, can really jump and get his hand on the ball in the ruck. Does his job.
I'd hate to see him miss due to injuries as he's finally getting a good run at it.

Think i'd actually be stoked if Darling missed and we had to play Lamb.
Sure it would likely be painful viewing, but at least it's a forced change and gives The Sandwich (presumably) an opportunity at the top level.
Darling can go see a psychiatrist during his time off or something, get his head back in the game.

After 6 of those on Thursday he will have rebranded that expression to Tom the Lamb.

If Darling genuinely can't get up for the game, I've no problem with playing Lamb as a sort of last chance. Who knows maybe he's one of those 'better in the AFL than the WAFL'.
Ideally I'd play Gov forward and bring in Schofield though.

Sydney could possibly play all off Franklin, Reid, Naismith, Tippet/Sinclair. With 3 of them up forward for most of the game I wouldn't be surprised for our 3 tall defenders to all be in. Gov, Barrass and Emac.
Jetta should get another go this week as he is yet to play at Subi as he missed last home game.
Sheed has to come in after the weekend.
Shepp and Darls are the two more notable concerns with Vards and Mitch a possibility.
This is going to be a very interesting selection night.
