I think Viney can contribute (for now anyway) just get him out of the ****ing midfield. We have enough young players to take over already, and we're stifling their development prioritising the old guys.

I can't stand Zorko but hes naturally a skilled player so the move to half back made sense - if Viney isn't getting 15+ contested possessions a game with 4+ clearances there is no reason to have him in the team, because he offers nothing in all other areas.

The reality is we’ve got him, so yeah try him in some other roles. It’s a lose-lose situation from here team wise, so we may as well experiment

We're clearly way too one-dimensional in the midfield. All of these guys would look fine at other sides but they're all trying to do the same job while no one waits for the receive or defends their man.

Yeah I dunno. I figure Viney's become somewhat of a reliable kick for goal so we may as well just hide in the forward pocket and hope he can jag a couple. Blue and red tinted glasses I guess.

My favourite part of 2019 was seeing OMac as a forward. If you can’t be good, be interesting. Or play it for laughs. I dunno

I mean it was so obvious even in round 1 against GWS, I maintain that performance was pretty flukey as we literally kicked one goal from set shots and somehow had like 4 soccer goals in the goalsquare. In the midfield GWS had 1-2 spread instantly from every stoppage whilst we had team dumb campaigner crowding the inside.

Hopefully I'm wrong but i can actually see us being very competitive tomorrow night - Geelongs form is also pretty average and we aren't going to be this bad all season. Factor in a few important ins and a (slightly) smaller forwardline, I think it'll mean nothing in the long term but I reckon we'll push the Cats pretty hard in a real scrap.

Thought about this example the other day but Zorkos much more talented than Viney and bit of a difference when you're playing in a top 4 side vs bottom 4

If Viney wants to keep playing and wants to play forward, drop to the 2s for a month and learn the craft. Don't learn it at AFL level, we have **** all young talent who could come in and play forward but give Sestan a month
