Ok my hyperbole was over the top, I get it. Still, he whinges a lot about "unfair" decisions, they stick in your mind more than saying they deserved to lose.

The UCL format needed a refresher as it was getting ridiculous being a one team comp in Real Madrid. The problem with it is there's more game in the schedule, they should've come up with an idea with the same or less games. But UEFA is greedy corrupt organization that only cares about money and control.

The format does absolutely nothing to that. It'll still be mostly the same teams in the final 16.

It's a stupid format, not because of more games, but because it's unfair if you as a team play good teams at home and poor teams away or vice versa, good teams all away and crap teams at home. The latter and you probably don't qualify with 1 poor home game

I wanna let the whole season run then look back on the CL and really judge it.
I think its just gonna be the same top teams at the pointy end of the competition and I think their is gonna be way more dead rubbers in the final "league" games.
Not much jeopardy for the top teams as 24 teams go through.

Don't you play 1 team in each pot home and away? So you should be getting in theory the same quality of teams home and away

This is the first game in this comp this season where I've felt a bit of jeopardy.
Part because a win would be lovely, part because finishing outside the top 8 apparently means extra games and we could do without them.
I'm not even sure where we stand on the table or how many games left, but I'm thinking with a loss and a draw under our belt already, another bad result might make that top 8 position difficult.

What a weird game.
Lacklustre in the first half but comfortable, and the same problems still evident.
After gundos goal we looked bright and I could see light at the end of the tunnel.
Then I'm trying to recall us ever throwing a game away like that.
Good thing we've got an easy one on the weekend to get back to winning ways.

5-1, outstanding from Arsenal. That’s the toughest remaining away fixture remaining I think, would’ve been content with a point there however that’s an excellent result and nice little boost to GD.

That was a crazy end in the City game. They just cant seem to right the ship. Glad they didnt end up losing 3-4 though cos then that would have been 6 in a row and you just know they'd come out breathing fire against us. This way that losing streak is over. Suits me.

seems to just be a complete lack of confidence and belief through the squad, especially defensively. Silly mistakes from previously near perfect footballers, it's way beyond just a rodri injury at this point.

They're not cooked. Up until a month ago they were flying. They've had a bad spell but are just as likely to go on another 13 game winning streak.
They are slow and they have no physicality anymore. It is not a good combination.
