Thats sort of how a rebuild works, your older elite players carry the load while the kids develop. Not sure if you knew that.

Well done.

Eagles have 8 to 10 tall forwards/ ruck / forwards. Two are mature and locks in Allen and Waterman.

That leaves 8 others fighting for 1 to 2 spots.

So yep trading in yet another tall forward isn't terribly smart nor needed. That is plainly obvious.

The list needs elsewhere are significant and need addressing.

It would be like Freo using good picks to trade in another ruck. A dumb move.

Eagles don't get academies and leg ups from the AFL. They like the other teams outside the big Vic teams that aren't the pet clubs in expansion states are forced to drop to the bottom and rebuild.

That's just life in the compromised AFL industry and we roll with it. Rebuilding and lean years are what they are for teams not propped up by AFL House.

Makes the grand final wins all the sweeter.
