Last season was one of the more even seasons we have seen in a long time.

This season will see some great footy at the top end but the bottom end has dropped off significantly by the looks
The sad one is tyntynder, players leaving in their droves even though they look like they've picked up a couple of handy recruits

Would the 2024 season be the best season you've seen in terms of evenness? 1-8 seemed as if anyone could beat anyone on their day. Tooleybuc were a lot better than their 8th place finish and I thought Tyntynder at the start of the year were good but fell away in the back half.

I have had to speed up my top 30 as a couple of others have beat me too it!
Had to include Arho at 31 as he is a force to be reckoned with.
End of 2025 could see H.Thompson, D.McGregor and Z.Omeara assert themselves as stars of our competition. McDonald as the clear number 1 Ruck in the league. Cannot wait to watch Tommy Toma do is thing for the Kangas again, bonafide star.
I have also included Drew Lloyd because nothing is confirmed with him yet.

  1. Tom Toma
  2. Connor McDonald
  3. Joel Helman
  4. Harry Allen
  5. Joel Walsh
  6. Brent McLeod
  7. Jye Barry
  8. Mathew Rankine
  9. Ricky Monti
  10. Darcy Hourigan
  11. Lee Dale
  12. Jose Miliado
  13. Drew Lloyd
  14. Thomas Schott
  15. Harry Maher
  16. Jackson Williams
  17. Jayden Post
  18. Henry Thompson
  19. Jordan Iudica
  20. Bailey Reeves
  21. Darcy McGregor
  22. Jack Geary
  23. Zac Omeara
  24. Arnold Kirby
  25. Elliot Chalmers
  26. Ethan Curran
  27. Ethan Saville
  28. Michael Herlihy
  29. Taylor Cameron
  30. Tom McGregor
  31. Brent Arho
Great list.

If Jackson William’s hamstring holds up and he produces anything like his back end to 2024 then he could rocket up this (very impressive) list.

Roota you guys have got two former sanfl players and we saw toumpas at Swan hill and Edwards at Birchip. Are clubs looking at sanfl players, where vic clubs can blow south Aussie community clubs out of the water in regards to payments, and I think if ranking and houra get a flag, will we see more central murray clubs look to SA to recruit, like they did in Darwin post nyah in 2000

As even as I can remember for a long time but I always give the disclaimer that I didn’t see many games live.

Tooleybuc were up to it to their necks until the boys went on their trips and Tyntynder had some genuine star power but no depth.

Cohuna would have been spewing with how they started the year.

Swan hill had some wonderful players but couldn’t get it together, Boga weren’t disgraced and have some excellent kids and a gun coach and barham improved

A lot of pressure on Lalbert next year

To be fair Houra and Rankine are not straight out of the SANFL but obviously highly talented players that most clubs would love to have.

Recruiting is still based on connections. It’s bloody hard to recruit blokes without at least some minor connection at least

Cohuna by a fair way. Ridiculously stacked list. The poor depth is the only issue but fingers crossed in that regard
