Has tyntynder lost what they stand for or used to be able to do, they used to be able to entice the best juniors from minor leagues to come in and play, marcus nalder, the otooles, Joel Cullen, delmenico, brock andrrson, as well as recruit a wes Lewis, Tyrone Jones to make them stronger
$ talks now trent

What do Kerang do right? They been the yard stick for 20 years ?
Big town comparatively, Best local juniors, much closer to Bendigo and more money then sides like Swan Hill and Tyntynder.
Woorinen have clearly become the second club now, I imagine that’s because they are close enough to Swan Hill that they are sort of another town club but have a much better community feel like most small community clubs do; plus obviously money.

Yep you may be correct Trent. Had a look at them tonight and they seem very young and inexperienced, lacking some serious class to take them to the next level. Building blocks over the next couple of years for the dogs. As for the swans hard to get a good read on them may have to head back on Wednesday. Seems to be a real focus on moving quickly and also fundamental skills. New coach looks like he can play a bit too.
Cheers, THEGRANGER
How is Jose Miliado looking? I’m expecting a big year from him especially with more time in the midfield with Wade and Moloney gone! Absolute game changer for them and could be a smokey for the Jack Betts if they win enough games.

He's got X factor doesn't he. He dominated the 2018 grand final and how old was he? 13? 14?

Kerang still has the golden rivers clubs to compete for players, what they manage to do is have a core 14 locals play, they blood juniors, they all travel back to play now and they have s good recruiting network to top up
Agree with all that except the Golden Rivers part. Majority of the cream of the locals are going to chose Kerang over a Golden Rivers club 8 times out of 10.

You’ve just gotta look at their reserves, most of that team could play good Golden Rivers footy but they choose to stay together and play reserves and only a handful of senior games during the year.

I agree with this. Over the last say 10 years how many junior kids have Wandella and Murrabit produced that would get a game at Kerang atm?
saying that how many Kerang locals under about 23 played in last years premiership?

Shattered when he signed at Swan hill. But that is football in the modern era isn’t it.
It's hard when you hear the sort of figures that get thrown around. Especially when the young man is probably trying to buy a house or a new car. Hard to ignore.

Just reading on the KDFL feed and apparently Josh Mellington was on the track for Girgarre so seems like the Woorinen rumour seems like it has faded.

I believe the night series will still be running they were advertising for clubs to express interest in the guardian late last year. Hopefully can have some of the stronger clubs play against each other to give the spectators a good viewing.

The NCFL thread has him at Nullawil too.
It'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

Top 2 if healthy.
But have they gotten noticeably stronger, after out's, than last year? If everyone was to perform and be healthy, in no particular order you have cohuna, woorinen, mallee eagles and kerang still in there. Swan Hill have likely replaced Wade in Toumpas and recruited more making them stronger. Not sure who Balranald have picked up, but Gant is a hole to fill. Then there's Tyntynder that have losses but will best you if you rock up thinking it's easy. I think it'll definitely be a year where you just can't afford to lose the winnable games, they can't all fit in finals.

That’s if they keep Jarrod Stokes and Hass Ahmat Watkins as well. Having talked to a few people they said they weren’t loving the travel especially some games they would have to finish games earlier in the last to get back to the airport or having to fly back to Darwin late Sunday night which would take a toll on their bodies. Credit to them though they still played some very good football and were a reason Nyah made it so far into the season.

I heard a rumour that Tyntynder have signed Tyson Mackenzie from Waratahs also.
Would be a good signing! Tuned into the tahs game on the weekend and he played well the young man coming off the half back in not the best conditions. Thought it was unusual he was paying there as I’m use to seeing him as a mid/fwd but could be a new role potentially on his return back to Vic.
