One thing I hadn't mentioned, the tracking shot on Chandrilla to make it feel like a real, lived in location as Mon walks down the stairs and around the corner, it makes it feel massive. Such good cinematography.

Similar to Season 1, some slow bits, some bits that maybe seemed a bit out of place. Rock, paper, scissors for leadership was a little odd.
Thought it highlighted how fractured and immature the rebellion is at this point in time, only four years before they blew up the first Death Star.
The wedding stuff went on a bit longer than it should have, but other than that, was really good.
The stuff on Mina-Rau was the highlight for me. An on the ground representation of how scummy and evil the empire is.
I enjoyed the Syril/his mum/Dedra bit on Coruscant, but I hope that we eventually see one of them flipping to the Rebels. Otherwise feels like a it's a waste to do it for the sake of tonal shift.
Imagine the remaining episodes are getting pretty full on and less humourous from here. Cant wait.
Leader that brought them together died, two were arguing about who is now in charge.Maybe it was the jungle, maybe the lighting, but on first viewing it was difficult to figure out what they were arguing about

Man I hope this section pays off - that was peak Alpha v Alpha and one blinkedI’m most keen to see Dedra’s arc from here. Going toe to toe with Syril’s mum was funny, what she does on Ghorman is going to be fascinating to see unfold.

The harder the Disney content fails the closer we are to a remake of the original trilogy. If you look at this and R1 and were then to watch ANH for the first time there would likely be more gravity to the fear of the Empire as opposed to me as 10 year old being awed by Darth Vaders terrifying appearance and behaviour
I wonder if any of those Di$ney executives have floated a remake of ANH? It’s coming up 50 years in 1977.
So much this!!Thought it highlighted how fractured and immature the rebellion is at this point in time, only four years before they blew up the first Death Star.

Mon dancing at the wedding was an incredible scene. like, she knows her childhood friend is going to be dead soon, her daughter just married off in the name of the rebellion. She put everything into that dance, the anger, the frustration - the artifice of the dance versus the reality in which she's living. Amaizing.
Also, notice how its filmed. Everyone going one way while Mon is going against the tide.
Even her usually head in the sand husband knows somethings not right with her.
The return of the fabulous Naimos with a new mix at the wedding. Disco robot mirror ball for the win!
“My parents were arrested when I was 3 and I was raised in a kinderblock”.
****ing hell. Ice cold delivery too.

I did indeed think thatKnowing Dedra she probably turned them over to the empire herself. Only slightly joking.
She's a well constructed character and the actress is excellent.
In S1 Nicholas Brittell scored a piece of music he called Naimos- it appears in different parts of S1 but is mixed differently each time. Its very cleverly done. The entire S1 soundtrack is a masterpiece and I'm bitterly disappointed he didn't get to score S2 as well.Explain Naimos? Was that the music? I hope that your saying it’s a real act because that was awesome
I Rogue One Cassian said ' I've lost everything." He hasn't lost them all yet, but he will. I can imagine each Arc we see him lose someone else - a body countdown to Rogue One.The wedding stuff went on a bit longer than it should have, but other than that, was really good.
