He's either in witness protection or corruption is strong in Victoria. Both plausible.

A story was leaked that Taxpayers are funding his daughter's private school payment. He obviously struck a deal in which he would reveal all and dob in some people. Either that, or the story was made up to help his witness protection program.

He then gets killed on the same day in a maximum security prison where guards should be present? He gets killed by someone getting a metal bar from an exercise bike and walking in the prison with it to kill Carl Williams? How would a guy get away with that in as much security as that? Someone turned a blind eye, which spells corruption.

It's one or the other. Corruption or Witness Protection. And it would be hard to fake a death that way so I lean towards major corruption.

Was it me or did C10 reveal it was ? Maybe it wasn't 10 but i'm sure I heard it was him from one of the media reports.

Always felt his portrayal on Underbelly made him look like a low IQ individual which was a lot different to who he actually was. Ahh well, the bloke that loved his sportwear is dead but there is a lot more to this story i reckon.

There is CCTV footage of the incident. However the guards were not actively monitoring the screens as it happened live and in real time.

This is my understanding.

The point remains - this is all still waaaaaaaaaay suss, especially the way the other bloke Ivanovic was on the phone giving himself an alibi.

I'm with SLF and this being an inside job. There is no way in hell that they didn't see this on the CCTV, an inmate like Carl Williams not being monitored? Give me a break.

Then the accused gets a metal pole from a bike and nobody notices, and to top all of this off it takes them 25 minutes to find Carl Williams?

Shaven-headed and in a tight, orange T-shirt, the accused sat handcuffed and fidgeted constantly during this morning's hearing.
When magistrate Ron Saines asked the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, if he had anything to say, he simply replied, "Nah."

On top of this Brumby is using Williams criminal history as an excuse not to explore further investigations.

A man died in a maximum security prison. You investigate to find out how and why regardless of who the guy was. He has an innocent daughter after all that now doesn't have a father.

Corruption goes as high as the Government in Victoria based on Brumbie's comments.

Also, they were in a meeting yesterday for hours when all this happened? Me thinks they knew what was going to happen.

Conspiracy theorists having a field day, Brumby knew, wtf?, whoever did it realised Carl was going to rat anyone he could, these so called friends waited and took their chance, the guards might have been having a crap, making coffee whatever, and also the prisoners were probably chirpy and joking, creating a false environment, carl would've had no idea, talk about a king hit!

Ivanovic makes a call, which no doubt is monitored, the 2 Guards are 'out' and the attack happens, as the saying goes 'you take em anyway you can', the killer wins and lives.
I'd hate to be a guard, prisoners watching every move you make, waiting for an opportunity.
