Whoever picked the AA squad must severely hate Danster.
Fairly bad call. But Rayner in would be like putting Mason Cox in over Marshall.

I’m pretty sure Worpel trained with the Lions a few times leading up to the draft. Apparently in an internal match game he tore it up. Then when the lions didn’t draft him with any of their picks I was shocked! Then he comes out and was Hawthorns best player. Definitely one that got away by Lions recruitment team!!!

Didn't just kick goals, ranked elite in clearances and dominated contested football. A few quieter weeks, but absolutely primed for finals.

He has to make 2 AA squad and kick 6 in a granny remember.
If we were to trade Rayner an AA squad player (which is considered elite by Dan) for say a 3 year older player who didn't sniff the AA team like Fritata.

No it's like putting Darcy Cameron over Marshall.
Now Dan willed Rayner into AA? Id think it was impossible, but every time Danny boy trashed ginni and Watson in our match day they would almost immediately kick a goal. He truly has the midas touch.

As for Raynor he is the 'Raygun' of the AFL and has discredited the AA system. He is a total hack. Cost you the flag last year with terrible play.

While a rudimentary measure, Rayner’s SC average stacks up well against the players he’s in competition with - except for Moore.
Compared to most of them he’s lower in goals, but makes up for it by being elite for clearances, inside 50’s, and contested possessions.
Rankine would clearly be ahead of him had he played more games. But he didn’t, so he’s not.
He won’t make the team, but at 24 years of age he has plenty of time to do that.
