Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

Surely that would have made some sort of media post. Poor old Budge copped it big time over his indiscretion last year. Was blown way out of poportion. I know Planty well and i don't believe he would have done that, very honest guy and would be trying hard to set the right example for his young side. Is this true or just sh*t slinging for something to do?

Can't be true, can it?

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

Cant wait for weekend.......driving up from the West Coast to Launny for the big game Dockers v North.Should be a great game given that North are flying over David Rhys-Jones for a one off appearance which i am told has just been announced.Great jesture by Burnie to share the expense but the big crowd will well and truly compensate.

The hyphen would not come to West Park, he did not like the egg shaped oval !

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

Rhys described West Park as a Primary School ground on the end of Bass Strait. A very accurate description!!

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

any spot on the Dockers side for one C Brown from Hobart or even a T Brown??
Both Premiership players in both Senior and Reserves, surley Clinton would stay and play but Burnie would be mad not to have their experience amongst a young group if they were about, cannot see it happening but

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

I heard a few whispers at weekend that Brent Plant and Peter Vincent both will not be at Burnie Shockers next season....maybe they can become a succesfull club again.:thumbsu:

Would this have anything to do with the clubs biggest defeat at West Park in 4 or 5 years??

Things not exactly going to plan at West Park at the minute. They have spent a s*** load of coin on players that are giving them zippo, most of the board are drunks, their coach is a drunk as well and just to cap it off he thinks he is coaching in the 1970's. If I was Planty I would be watching my back because the knives are out and being well and truly sharpened!!!

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

A few of us are still interested to find out who paid for Robbo to play on the weekend. Playing for Burnie at the Devonport ground makes no sense for Burnie to pay for him. If Devonport paid then why wouldnt he play for them? It seems very strange, So who paid the money?. Some one said he was paid $5K:eek: Does Any one know about this?

Yeah apparently the Salvo's were hard at it in Wilson Street selling hampers all week to pay for him:D

Re: Burnie (Shockers) Dockers

Who cares who paid for him too play?? Honestly.

The more ex afl players we can get playing here, be it a one off like Robbo, or semi regular like Aker, the better!
