an alternative argument is lifting in the late arvo/evening doesnt leave much time for adequately re-fueling the body before bedtime.

I heard creatine is good.
Is it? So what does creatine actually do?
Nothing.
Wrong. It is an important part of the ATP energy system
It's a waste of money.
Correct. The body makes creatine anyway.
Supplements are probably only OK for elite athletes and body builders. The rest of the paying suckers are pissing their money away.
Now back the question: what does creatine actually do? I want one of the people who take this stuff to answer the Q, or are they sucked in by marketing.

Anyone else tried N.O., and if so - what were the results like for you?
Tried a similar product called Intraxcell.. Hated it.. Made me feel light headed and gave me the sweats... I put up with it the first time but ended up just throwing the rest of the bottle out.. It did make me feel stronger, but largely a placebo effect I think.. The bottle of caps retailed at about $80 from memory.. luckily I got it for nothing.. I dont rate pre-workout supplements at all..
Hey fellas. Just wondering if any of you have tips on bulking up
I'm 17 atm and am fairly active cardio-wise (run every second day, usually 5-6km but building it up to around 8km of late) however am looking to bulk up my upper body - mainly biceps, triceps and shoulders I guess. Obviously don't want to stunt my growth (I'm not that tall). All I own is dumbells but I plan on becoming a member of a gym in the summer.
Any tips on the most efficient ways to bulk up?
i have some on the way from the US; i was sent a discount voucher for my birthday so thought i'd try it out. will be interesting to see if it's worth the hype, or just another product Jay Cutler and the like lie about taking it for their sponsors. The only supplements that I've had success with are protein shakes and Nitric Oxide. I think it was called N.O. expand or something like that, and basically it put me into an extremely motivated state and made me feel stronger and more conditioned, but also a bit light-headed. It was probably more of just a placebo effect.

oh ok, cool. i'll order everything from "Flex", and i'll be big and strong like them in no time then!nah apparently it's the supplements in the magazines that get the pros to where they are. forget steroids; N.O, creatine, glutamine etc. is what brought them their success, because that's what the ads say. they wouldn't lie
powerlifting
Protein before or after working out?
Why do you not like the cable machines?
ssh. some dude already answered this, hes answer was better. urs is uneducated and unaware. u do realise u need protein b4 a workout 2?Straight after your workout. Use a water based protein shake for more rapid absorption.
throw in some creatine? like its a sprinkling of oregano!I agree. Heavy weights, lots of rest, lots of protein and lots of starchy carbs. Throw in some Creatine. Make sure you do squats.

creatine will not help to bulk up. it increases the amount of water ur body retains so ur muscles look fooller, n u get more of the pump, but nothing else more than that to add bulk.

I tried creatine for a bit and it certainly added bulk, unfortunately to my gut as much as anywhere else.
